Gaia Epicus hails from Norway and released it’s 7th album called “Seventh Rising” the 17th. December 2020. The “band” or project if you will since it’s not been a full band in the last 10 years or more, has played concerts, festivals and toured in the following countries Norway, Sweden, UK & Scotland, USA and Spain.

The band was founded by Thomas Chr. Hansen back in 1992 and he is the only original member left. Throughout the years the band changed music style, name and members several times, only to finally back in 2001 land on the style that he still plays today. The band goes under the Power Metal genre but according Hansen himself he calls it just Melodic Metal. (with elements of power, speed, thrash and prog)

After being ripped off by the first label who released their two first albums, Hansen then decided to form his own label. Epicus Records is the name of his label and he has released five Gaia Epicus albums pluss re-issued the first two. As it stands Hansen has been offered deals on other labels but turned it down, but he is looking to strike a deal with a bigger label so if anyone interested please get in touch with him.

LP “Doom of Babylon” available Summer 2021

In his 10 years in the music scene Roy Waterford has amassed many accomplishments. In his early days in the hip hop scene he shared stages with such acts as Mac Miller, Freddie Gibbs, and Ghostface Killah. More recently in the jam band scene he played several music festivals and toured the U.S for roughly two years. After departing from touring, he set his sights on Reggae music, writing and recording an album in three months and signing with an independent label in Cyprus. Now Roy has returned to his musical roots: heavy metal.

Inspired by iconic bands like Black Sabbath and Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats, Waterford has created the musical persona of Watchman, and it is under this title that he will be releasing his debut album, “Doom of Babylon”.

Watchman is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist, producer, and audio engineer Roy Waterford. Drawing inspiration from Black Sabbath, Electric Wizard, and Sleep among others, his debut album “Doom of Babylon” is a product of the artists’ bluesy, psychedelic rock influences channeled into eight heavy doom metal tracks.

While we wait for the full album to be released, three songs have been released as a standalone E.P. called Behold A Pale Horse. Stoned Meadow Of Doom is streaming the E.P. now on their YouTube channel and it can also be purchased on Bandcamp!

Helsinki based crossover thrash band My Funeral released their own version of Motörhead’s iconic song ”Overkill”, dedicated to the memory of LEMMY KILMISTER. The track was produced by Ville Holmström at Studio Muuntamo.

”We decided to record our own version with My Funeral’s twist in memory of Lemmy and Motörhead. Most of the song was recorded live in an attempt to achieve a dangerous rock’n’roll overall feel. This is our hommage. We hope that our version will reach the ears of Eddie, Philthy and Lemmy, wherever they may be. LIVE FAST AND DIE OLD!”

Okrütnik was formed in May 2018 in Kotlin, Poland, and instantly became a sensation of the local underground scene, due to their intriguing blend of oldschool heavy metal with 1st wave black metal influences.
