Forgotten Garden – Memoriam

Forgotten Garden are a soft rock duo from Scotland with dark, gothic post-punk influences and Memoriam is their latest single.

Fronted by Inês on vocals, with Danny playing most of the instruments, this is a very talented pairing, who compliment each other wonderfully.

The vocals have a very Enya(ish) feel to them, beautiful yet haunting, and lyrics (yes, I did look them up) are sad and morose. Musically, every single note on every single instrument hits you in the heart and moves you in a way that only music can.

This feels like a song written from the heart and, whether it has been produced from personal experience or not, it certainly makes you think, and it definitely makes you feel.

I would be interested in hearing what the rest of the EP has to offer so I will definitely be checking that out but all in all, this is a great track and one that I think will appeal to both the rock/indie genres as well as the pop and even the alternative scene.

Great job!
