John Vento – Sweet Cheslie

John Vento is an ongoing musician, who has recently released an amazing new track called “Sweet Cheslie”. “Sweet Cheslie” is a soft, acoustic tune, that is filled with nostalgia and pleasantness.

John has created this piece for an important reason, suicide prevention awareness month. The song is dedicated to the sadly passed Cheslie Kryst, who unfortunately lost her life to suicide. This song holds such significant meanings, and it must be heard widely.

We are introduced with a beautiful acoustic guitar, with a continued soft and mellow sound that continues throughout the song. Towards the end we witness a beautiful guitar solo, which really makes us sit and think about the true meaning of the song. Not only is the instrumental side of this song amazing, but John Vento’s vocals are also just as great. He sings with such emotion and soul, that it almost brings a tear to your eye.

Suicide prevention is a very crucial topic, and the fact that Vento has created such a track dedicated towards it, he must receive all the appreciation he deserves.

If you are yet to listen to “Sweet Cheslie” then make sure you do, as this one cannot be missed (and I mean that!).

C Kahari – Rolling, Floating

WOW!

What a tune this song is!

If you are a fan of R&B, rap or hip-hop, then you with unquestionably love this track just as much as I do. “Rolling, floating” is C Kahari’s second track, yet it is so amazing that you would never have guessed.

The tune has a strong bassline throughout, the kind that gets your body grooving to the beat. This is the perfect song for a day full of relaxing and chilling. The music is quite minimalised, with a repeated beat, but it’s undoubtedly still effective.

I am obliged to say how good C Kahari’s vocals are. His voice is so soothing, and he raps so well. I am so intrigued to see C Kahari release other songs.

“Rolling, floating” is going to be one I continue to listen to, and you should definitely give this track a listen to. C Kahari is the kind of artist that you could listen to on repeat all day and still not get bored!

Mark Millar – The Great Adventure

“The Great Adventure” is Mark Millar’s latest release, in which he wrote about his own wife and their long-term love. And who doesn’t love a good love song?

Mark sings about love and focuses on the older generation and their romance, which is a shift from what we are used to.

“The Great Adventure” is a guitar-based track, that includes a real instrumental. The drumbeat is simple yet extremely catchy, making us enjoy the tune even more. The outro is purely just music, leaving us in a happy and positive mindset.

The vocals in “The Great Adventure” are raw and outstanding. Mark has a voice where what we hear is just natural.

This soft-rock style of song is one that everybody can enjoy. I myself cannot find a single fault in this song, as it is a meaningful love song, condensed with amazing vocals and instrumentalists.

Please give Mark Millar’s song a listen to, and if you enjoy it then give his other music a go!

Neon Black Dreams – Never Give Up

Neon Black Dreams are a newly formed band, which focuses on electronic pop, synthwave and even hints of rock music. Their music is one that may not be your cup of tea usually, but you will undoubtedly enjoy it!

“Never give up” is their newest release, and I got to say, it’s a good one!

This track has elements of pop, synth, and rock. It is an upbeat, positive track, that persuades you to tap your foot or even dance to it! It has a strong drumbeat, overlapped with modern electronically created sounds. This song almost makes you feel like you are having a party in space!

Randi – Dancing With A Broken Heart

The first time I heard “Dancing with a broken heart” I was drawn to it and so pleasantly surprised! This track is an indie pop/rock style, that is filled with emotion.

Randi wrote this song in a very low part in her life as she went through a rough break up, therefore it holds such deep importance to her. This is topic that many others can also relate to. You can hear the emotion in her voice, as her voice is soft and mellow. The song has a sombre tone which just highlights the heartbreak Randi was feeling,

The music in this track is fairly upbeat, which gives it that element of positivity and her overcoming this dark path in her life.

Honestly Randi’s “Dancing with a broken heart” is an amazing track filled with emotion, darkness but also positivity. If you want to hear more from Randi, be sure to check out her other music on Spotify!

Joe Sneva – Dreams

I am not usually one for covers, but wow, this one is good!

Joe’s interpretation of “Dreams” is more of a slow, folk pop style, compared to the rock style that the Cranberries did. Joe, being a male, sings the song with a lower pitch, creating a more relaxing and steady sound. I personally love what Joe has done with this track, and possibly even prefer it over the original.

The tempo is a great deal slower than the original, but it gives a feel of familiarity and warmth. Sneva has created a more melancholic, and despaired rendition, which is not how the Cranberries set out for it to sound but has turned out extremely well.

There is a lot of pressure and high expectations towards cover artists, especially when they take on a slightly different approach, but I believe that Sneva has hit the jackpot with this one.

Take some time to have a listen to Joe’s version, and I can assure you, you will be just as pleasantly surprised as I was.

Eli Ladon – 10 Milligrams

Eli Ladon has recently dropped “10 Milligrams”, and it is definitely a hit! Although Eli Ladon has been creating music since 2012, this track has got to be his best one yet!

“10 Milligrams” is the perfect hip-hop, rap track, that is catchy and melodious. This is another one of those that gets stuck in your head, and you find yourself humming whilst walking to work. The songster has an undeniable energy, which you can really feel.

Eli Ladon has the perfection fusion of rap and melodies, where we also see a true singer in the chorus. We all love a good tune, that brings about a positive vibe and feel, and that is exactly what “10 Milligrams” does!

After coming across this song, I cannot wait to hear other tracks of his, and I am definitely a new fan of Eli. If you yet to hear his work and are a lover of rap, then be sure to give “10 Milligrams” a little try and you will honestly love it!

Kristopher – Indigo Sky

“Indigo Sky” is such a beautiful, more sombre sounding song. I got to say Kristopher has done extremely well with this track!

Kristopher is a young singer-songwriter, who has grown up in orchestra and with the skill of playing multiple instruments. He reaches out for listeners to hear the words he sings and empower them. This is all present in his song “Indigo Sky”.

This song is perfect for a rainy day, or when feeling an overwhelming sense of relaxation. It is so beautiful to take in and just sitting there listening to this song, feels so good.

This song includes such personal and emotional feelings of Kristopher. The music is quietly acoustic, making us really appreciate life and the vocalism. Additionally, Kristopher’s vocals are amazing, and he holds so much potential in his voice.

If you love a good, relaxing, heartful song, then take some time to give Kristopher’s “Indigo Sky” a listen to, as it is so beautiful, and you will undoubtedly enjoy it.

StarAV – Loneliness

Who doesn’t love a good pop rock classic? I know I do, and I am sure you do too!

StarAV, has just dropped their new hit “Loneliness” and you would be silly to not give it a little listen to!

“Loneliness” is slightly different from the usual rock song you hear, as it has elements of alternative, pop, synth and indie. This may seem like an unusual combination, but after hearing this track I can certainly say I am not disappointed!

This song includes a harsh drumbeat with the instruments giving a growly sound. The vocals also almost feel like they are being dragged, which gives the song a feeling of sadness. The title being “Loneliness” really highlights the musical and vocal elements. However, all the vocals in this track are great, and cannot be faulted.

If you have never heard StarAV, then give their new release a go. You could also support them by giving their other tracks a listen to too!

Petra Jasmiina – Naïve

This is another one of those tracks that you never expect to enjoy, but end up finding yourself singing along, bopping your head.

Petra Jasmiina, who originates in Finland, is a new artist, who takes strong inspiration from artists such as Ellie Goulding and Taylor Swift. Petra creates music of the pop-folk genre, similar to this hit “Naïve”.

“Naíve” is a beautiful track, filled with magic, beauty and love. The song is soft, and honestly lovely and melodic.

It is undeniable that Petra’s voice is stunning, and pure, which is lovely to hear in modern day music. Additionally, the instrumental of this song is minimalised, which really highlights Petra’s voice. The song builds up as it goes on, with a nice, subtle drumbeat joining Petra’s vocals.

If you have never heard of Petra Jasmiina or her music, then you should go and have a listen to her. I can promise you will not be disappointed.
