Mick J Clark – Hey Daddy

Mick J Clark is a singer / songwriter who plays guitar and keyboards from the UK. He has written over sixty songs, released four albums and four EP’s and Hey Daddy is one of his past singles, released on 28/03/2012.

We have previously reviewed music by Mick in the past and we are always happy to hear more. Once again, we weren’t disappointed.

Hey Daddy is a laid-back soft rock song, with some very emotional and personal lyrics.

Musically, this track has soft drumming and gentle guitar work, that comes in with some country vibes with the solo. Mick’s voice is soft, although packed with emotion as he sings, and there is also a country twang that comes in here too. It’s Mick’s vocals that drive the track, and which are the focal point of the song, not once being overshadowed by the music behind him. He commands the song from start to finish and fills the track with emotion.

This is another great track from the very prolific and talented musician. We can’t wait to hear more from him, and we suggest you check him out too!
