Denmark’s Metal commando BAEST strikes back announcing the worldwide release of their massive 4th studio album entitled “Colossal” on August 15th, 2025 via Century Media Records.
 
Produced with Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studio (Heaven Shall Burn, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Haunted, etc.), the album contains 9 tracks across 42 minutes including the already released singles “Colossus” and “Imp Of The Perverse” as well as upcoming singles with guest vocal features by Jesper Binzer of D-A-D on “King Of The Sun” and by ORM on “Misfortunate Son”. BAEST commented about the “Colossal” album and the band’s current activities as follows: “Paying homage to the heavy metal roots of our music, we wanted to incorporate fast, classic and rocking riffs. This album showcases our passion for melody and a new direction for our death metal. Keeping the energy of former releases and adding new flavours to the inferno ‘Colossal’ stands out as an honest, original and exciting release. Recording it over the course of 2 years at Antfarm Studio with Tue Madsen has been a different but exciting process, leaving a lot of space in between material released off the album, with the two first singles ‘Colossus’ and ‘Imp Of The Perverse’ being almost a year old by now. We found that giving songs more time to grow felt right, and we also had to reinvent our own style and sound in that process, which leads to our satisfaction with ‘Colossal’ – it’s a broad album sound wise, and we feel this is the essence of BAEST. Playing some of the new tracks live on our recent tour with Danish rock legends D-A-D was helpful in cementing the appeal of the new tracks and helped us finish the album recordings between those shows. Next up, we embark on our first ever US/North America run supporting Arch Enemy, and we are following this tour up with a ton of European festivals. In addition to the main tour, DECAPITATED will perform at two of Europe’s most iconic metal festivals later this summer. In July, the band will perform at the legendary Wacken Open Air in Germany. Following this, they will appear at Denmark’s DØDSGANGEN in Albertslund in August.

Set to perform at this year’s Hyperspace Metal Festival in Vancouver, BC on April 10th, power prog storytellers RED CAIN are unveiling their new single “FWAB” (Fire Water, Air, Blood). With its heavy balalaika breakdown, downtuned heavy riffs, and soaring harmonized choruses among atmospheric industrial synth backing, “FWAB” hits hard and never lets go – a primeval ritual chant in front of cold stone, on a frozen steppe, among howling winds.

The band explains the story of the track in further detail:

“In the frozen Eastern European steppes, there stood a fell ancient god. Every ill word fed him, and every ill deed made him more potent. For millennia, he grew strong through kingship over mortal ill will, suffering, and pride, until his nourishment took a new form, unable to feed or strengthen. Without nourishment, the god was powerless, and without power, he slept. After millennia, fed full by ill words and ill deeds, searching for an awakening, the god demands the symbols of his power: Fire, Water, Air, Blood. Join the ritual sacrament of Chernobog. With this new release, the Slavic pagan ritual to call forth the “Black God” takes flight, asking the listener what they would be willing to change their fate.”

Red Cain, from Calgary, Canada, is a modern progressive metal project with Eastern European roots. They have been making waves since their first release in 2016, with award-winning music videos and concept albums “Kindred: Act I”, “Kindred: Act II,” and “NÄE’BLISS”. The albums contained a ton of genre inspirations, from gothic rock to ambient electronica, power, black, and death metal, and were universally lauded for their inventiveness, variety, and strong conceptual content. The five warriors in WARKINGS have once again taken up their weapons to bring the legends of their past to life with mighty power metal anthems. Finnish stoner rockers KING OF NONE celebrate their tenth anniversary by releasing the official music video for “Highway Divin’”, the very first song they ever wrote back in 2013. A decade later, the band revisits its roots with a powerful and gritty video that reflects their journey through the underground stoner rock scene.

Formed in Helsinki, Finland, KING OF NONE have developed a signature sound blending heavy, fuzzy riffs, raspy vocals, progressive arrangements, and psychedelic atmospheres. Their music has earned recognition both locally and internationally, supported by a solid and unchanged lineup: Miiro Kärki (vocals), Patrick Enckell (drums), Juho Aarnio (bass), Aleksi Kärkkäinen (guitar) and Juha Pääkkö (guitar).
