Can you tell us about the origin of the band name, a history of the band and a little bit about the various members?
ElKremso consists of three members (Mike Kremser, ElKike and Mario Cortes) who meta couple of years ago at university in Germany. Two years ago we formed the Band ElKremso. Since we did not simply want to cover songs we started to write our own songs. The first result of this was the song ‘Love Doctor’ which was released end of 2022.
Are you all from the same area? How did you get together as a band?
We are at least all from Germany and met at university.

Can you tell us about the origin of the band name, a history of the band and a little bit about the various members?
The band name came from a made-up combination of the words hyper and hysteria, which we felt described our sound pretty well. Hyperia was created in late 2018 by Colin and Marlee Ryley. We found the initial members from our local metal scene and started writing and playing shows almost immediately. Over the years we have had some member changes but currently, we have Jon Power on bass as well as two new members that will be announced soon!
Are you all from the same area? How did you get together as a band?
The original lineup was all from Calgary, Canada. The metal scene there is fairly tight-knit so everyone kind of knows everyone.
Who are your favourite artists/bands and how have they influenced your own sound?
My personal influences are from bands like Havok, Exmortus, Children of Bodom, and Municipal Waste.
Did you always have the ambition to be a musician and in a band or did you originally have other plans?
I was born into a musical family and was around instruments and music my whole life. I’ve known since I was about 11 that all I wanted to do was play guitar in a band.
What songs or albums are on your current playlist?
Recently I’ve been listening to a lot of Stone, Warfect, Mozart and Vivaldi.
Do you sing in the shower?
Not really, haha.
Do you have any plans for the band for this year and into next year?
On November 17 we will be releasing our third album “The Serpent’s Cycle”. We have a few more shows for the year, including opening for Exciter and Lich King in Vancouver as well our album release show. Next year we plan on touring Europe and the U.S.
Do you currently have any new songs/albums ready to be released?
Our new album “The Serpent’s Cycle” will be out November 17 worldwide. We have released 2 singles from the album already and have one more coming before the album is out.
If you could play at any venue in the world where would you choose?
Tavastia in Helsinki, Finland
Do you have a favourite album? If so, what is it?
It changes all the time but recently I’d say it’s No Anaesthesia by Stone.
Do you have any guilty pleasure songs/albums?
Tuomas Holopainen – The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck
If you were putting together the greatest show on earth, who would be playing?
Havok, Municipal Waste, Early Lost Society, Warfect
Can you remember the first album you bought with your own money? What was it and do you still have it?
I’m pretty sure it was Are You Dead Yet? by Children of Bodom, and I have it somewhere haha.
As your fans will be reading this, is there any message you would like to send out to them?
Thanks so much for the support and checking out our music and buying our merch! We hope to play a show near you someday soon!
Finally, let us know all your social media sites so your fans, old and new, can find and follow/like you!
Can you tell us about the origin of the band name, a history of the band and a little bit about the various members?
We are a heavy metal band from Thessaloniki, Greece. The band formed in 1992. The band name is related to Ozzy’s first album. The current line up is Andreas Oikonomidis (vocals), Alex Alexandris and Aggelos Eleftheriadis (guitars), George Arvanitidis (bass) and John Filippidis (drums).
We started back then playing covers. In the meanwhile we start writing our music as well. At some point in 1993 Iordanis Kalpaxidis joined the band as second guitarist and we appeared live for the first time by the end of that year. In the beginning of 1994 John replaced Babyss Arvanitidis on the drums. After few live appearances in local venues the band stop being active somewhere in 1996.
In 2016 we had the idea to reform the band again, so in 2018 we started rehearsals, playing only our material, few old songs but basically new music. In 2019 Aggelos stepped in. We recorded two full-length demos Resurrection (2019) and Gates of Hell (2020) as a four – piece band. Late in 2021 Alex rejoined the band after 25 years. By the end of 2022 we appeared live after many years and in 2023 June 8, our EP Hunters in the dark released digitally from Alcyone Records.
All of us through the years participated in other bands as well or performed in local venues as semi-pros, but having your own band and deal with your own music is something magical.
Are you all from the same area? How did you get together as a band?
We grew up in the same city, actually all band members – current and former- except Aggelos we were school mates in high school or later. After all these years we are still friends above all and hanging out together also out side of the band.
Who are your favourite artists/bands and how have they influenced your own sound?
Having grown up in mid 80’s our favourite bands were pretty much the same. We could say Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Ozzy/Sabbath, Accept, Hellowen, Metallica all the spectrum of classic heavy metal of the era plus 70’s classic rock bands such as Deep Purple etc. Our sound is still that heavy metal we used to hear. This is what we love to play, and this is what we will play for as long as the band exists.
Did you always have the ambition to be a musician and in a band or did you originally have other plans?
By the time that the band was formed we were too young. Through out the years and despite on how we related to music, we have the opportunity to have the band active again with new music, making our songs and that’s great! It is oxygen for all of us.
What songs or albums are on your current playlist?
Our current play list includes only Blizzard songs. We play our recent EP to its entirety plus several tunes from the demos, especially from the second one.
Do you sing in the shower?
Hahahaha, well some of us maybe…
Do you have any plans for the band for this year and into next year?
The plans for this year is definitely live appearances, keep going with the rehearsals and practice and of course making new music, which is something that never stops.
Do you currently have any new songs/albums ready to be released?
Having released already new material in June this year, no, we do not have something ready to be released. But we do have new music, and we are working on it already. Anyway we are not in a 100m race, we just keep the pace.
If you could play at any venue in the world where would you choose?
Well, that’s a difficult question in theory. In reality there a couple of local venues we would like to play in.
Do you have a favourite album? If so, what is it?
Thank God, there are so many of them!
Do you have any guilty pleasure songs/albums?
If you mean out side of metal, ok who hasn’t?
If you were putting together the greatest show on earth, who would be playing?
I do not think that we could ever agree on that.
Can you remember the first album you bought with your own money? What was it and do you still have it?
For me was Ram it down back in 1989….
As your fans will be reading this, is there any message you would like to send out to them?
Thank you very much indeed for your overall support! It really means the world to us. See you on the next live!!!
Finally, let us know all your social media sites so your fans, old and new, can find and follow/like you!
Can you tell us about the origin of the band name, a history of the band and a little bit about the various members?
The name for my solo project, “Errikos Bloukos,” is quite straightforward as it’s based on my own name. I wanted to keep it personal and authentic, as this project represents my individual musical expression and creative vision. My solo music project began several years ago when I decided to explore my own musical ideas and compositions more deeply. While I’ve been a part of various bands and musical collaborations over the years, I felt a strong desire to create music that was a direct reflection of my personal musical influences and emotions.
Who are your favourite artists/bands and how have they influenced your own sound?
I have a deep appreciation for various artists and bands that have influenced my own sound and musical style. Here are some of my favourite artists and how they have shaped my music:
Metallica: Metallica’s powerful guitar riffs and songwriting have had a significant impact on my guitar playing and song composition. Their ability to create catchy, yet heavy, melodies has inspired my own approach to crafting memorable metal tunes.
Iron Maiden: Iron Maiden’s melodic guitar harmonies and storytelling through music have been a tremendous influence on my songwriting. Their ability to fuse melody with aggression has shaped my own musical style.
Dream Theater: Dream Theater’s technical proficiency and complex compositions have pushed me to improve my guitar skills and explore intricate song structures. They’ve also inspired me to incorporate progressive elements into my music.
Opeth: Opeth’s ability to seamlessly blend heavy and melodic passages, as well as their use of clean vocals and acoustic interludes, has encouraged me to experiment with dynamics and contrast in my compositions.
Steve Vai: Steve Vai’s virtuosic guitar playing and innovative use of effects have expanded my understanding of what’s possible on the guitar. His creativity and willingness to push boundaries have influenced my own guitar techniques.
Tool: Tool’s intricate rhythms and atmospheric soundscapes have inspired me to create music that evokes a sense of depth and mood. Their ability to build tension and release it in their songs has influenced my own compositions.
Porcupine Tree: Porcupine Tree’s fusion of progressive rock and metal, along with their use of keyboards and atmospheric textures, has influenced the more atmospheric aspects of my music.
Mastodon: Mastodon’s blend of sludge and progressive metal has encouraged me to experiment with different metal subgenres and incorporate diverse elements into my music.
These artists and bands have left a lasting impression on my musical journey, and their influence can be heard in the way I approach guitar playing, songwriting, and the overall sound of my solo music. While I draw inspiration from a wide range of sources, the common thread is my love for melodic and progressive metal that tells a story and evokes emotion.
Did you always have the ambition to be a musician and in a band or did you originally have other plans?
My journey as a musician has been a lifelong passion, but it wasn’t always my primary career focus. Like many aspiring musicians, I had other plans and interests early in life.
Initially, I pursued a college degree in a different field, and I even started a career outside of music. However, the pull of music was always strong for me. I had been playing guitar since I was a teenager, and the desire to create and share my own musical ideas never truly faded.
Over time, I came to realize that music was not just a hobby for me; it was a calling. I couldn’t ignore the urge to express myself creatively through music. So, I made the decision to shift my focus and pursue music more seriously, leading to the creation of my solo project and the release of my first personal album.
While my path as a musician took a bit of a detour, I’m grateful for the experiences and skills I gained along the way. They’ve contributed to my growth as an artist, and I’m excited to continue my musical journey, pursuing my passion for creating and sharing music with others.
What songs or albums are on your current playlist?

2. **Dream Theater – “Images and Words”**: Dream Theater’s technical prowess and melodic sensibility are on full display in this classic album, which I revisit often.

These songs and albums span a wide range of subgenres within metal and progressive rock, and they provide me with a constant source of musical inspiration and enjoyment.
Do you sing in the shower?
Absolutely! Singing in the shower is a universal pastime, and I’m no exception. It’s a great way to unwind, relax, and let loose. Plus, the acoustics in the bathroom can make anyone feel like a rock star! Whether I’m belting out my own songs or jamming to my favourite tunes, the shower is one of those places where I can’t resist singing along and having a good time.
Do you have any plans for the band for this year and into next year?
My plans for my music project are centred around creating and sharing new music and expanding my reach as an artist. While I don’t have a traditional band, I continue to work on my solo project. Here are some of my goals and plans for this year and the next:
1. **New Music Releases**: I am constantly writing and composing new material. In the coming year, I plan to release new music, whether it’s a single, an EP, or another album. I’m excited to share my evolving musical journey with my audience.
2. **Music Videos**: Creating visually stunning music videos to accompany my songs is something I’m considering. Music videos can enhance the storytelling aspect of my music and provide a visual dimension to my compositions.
3. **Collaborations**: Exploring collaborations with other musicians or artists is a possibility. Collaborative projects can lead to new creative directions and broaden my musical horizons.
4. **Live Performances**: Depending on the state of the world and the opportunity, I may consider live performances or virtual concerts to connect with my audience and showcase my music in a live setting.
5. **Promotion and Marketing**: Building a strong online presence, engaging with fans on social media, and seeking out opportunities for press coverage and interviews are essential for promoting my music and reaching a wider audience.
6. **Musical Growth**: As a musician, I’m continually striving to improve my skills and evolve my sound. This might involve experimenting with new genres, instruments, or techniques.
While my plans may evolve as circumstances change and creative inspiration strikes, the core goal remains to create meaningful and expressive music that resonates with listeners. I’m excited to see where my musical journey takes me in the coming year and beyond.
Do you currently have any new songs/albums ready to be released?
I always have ideas for new music so yes I have some new songs ready to be released
If you could play at any venue in the world where would you choose?
if I could choose any venue in the world to perform at, I would have to go with the **Royal Albert Hall** in London, United Kingdom.
The Royal Albert Hall is an iconic and prestigious venue known for its stunning architecture and impeccable acoustics. It has a rich history of hosting legendary artists and events, spanning various musical genres, from classical to rock and everything in between.
Performing at the Royal Albert Hall would not only be a dream come true but also a tremendous honor. The venue’s grandeur and history make it a significant milestone for any artist. It’s a place where music truly comes alive, and the atmosphere is unparalleled.
Of course, there are many other incredible venues around the world, each with its unique charm and significance, but the Royal Albert Hall stands out as a symbol of musical excellence and a dream stage for many musicians.
Do you have a favourite album? If so, what is it?
I have a special affinity for several albums that have profoundly influenced me and continue to inspire my musical journey. One of my all-time favorite albums is:
**Opeth – “Blackwater Park”**: This album is a masterpiece of progressive death metal. It combines hauntingly beautiful acoustic passages with crushing, intricate metal sections. The complex song structures and emotional depth of the music have left an indelible mark on my musical style and approach to composition.
“Blackwater Park” is a brilliant showcase of Opeth’s versatility and musicianship, and it has had a lasting impact on my own music. It’s an album that I can listen to repeatedly and still discover new layers and nuances with each listen.
While “Blackwater Park” is one of my favorites, I also have a deep appreciation for numerous other albums across different genres, each contributing to my musical tapestry and inspiring me in various ways. Music is a diverse and ever-evolving art form, and I find joy in exploring its vast landscape.
Do you have any guilty pleasure songs/albums?
As a musician, I don’t believe in “guilty pleasures” when it comes to music. Music is a highly personal and subjective experience, and what resonates with one person may not resonate with another. It’s essential to appreciate music for the emotions and memories it invokes, regardless of genre or perceived coolness.
That said, I do have a diverse taste in music, and I enjoy a wide range of songs and albums beyond the metal genre. These might include pop, classic rock, electronic, or even classical music. These different genres offer unique perspectives on melody, composition, and production, which can be both inspiring and refreshing.
Ultimately, I believe in embracing music in all its forms and allowing it to evoke emotions and create connections, without the need to label any of it as a “guilty pleasure.”
If you were putting together the greatest show on earth, who would be playing?
Putting together the “greatest show on Earth” would be a monumental task, and it would require a lineup of iconic and influential artists spanning various genres. Here’s a dream lineup featuring some of the most legendary and impactful musicians:
1. **Led Zeppelin**: As one of the greatest rock bands in history, Led Zeppelin would headline the show, bringing their timeless classics and electrifying stage presence.

15. **Rush**: A progressive rock powerhouse known for their virtuosity and conceptual albums.
This fantasy lineup aims to offer a diverse and unforgettable musical journey, celebrating the richness of music across various genres and generations. It’s a testament to the incredible talent that has shaped the music world.
Can you remember the first album you bought with your own money? What was it and do you still have it?
I can share that the first album I bought with my own money was Metallica’s “Master of Puppets.” This album is a classic in the world of metal music and had a profound impact on my musical journey.
As for whether I still have it, I do. My copy of “Master of Puppets” holds a special place in my music collection. It’s not only a reminder of where my love for metal music began but also a testament to the enduring influence of this iconic band and album. It’s a treasured piece of my music history, and I continue to appreciate and enjoy it to this day.

Can you tell us about the origin of the band name, a history of the band and a little bit about the various members?
Well, the band was founded around 2010 in Santiago de Chile, looking for musicians with the same approach to extreme music, it was not an easy task to establish a strong line-up but we think we were able to manage it. We are a 4-piece Death Metal band, formed by Camilo Anrique (Drums), Sergio Rojas (Lead Guitar), Tomas Verdugo (Lead Guitar) and Patricio Dosque (Vocals)
We don’t recall the specific moment when we thought about the band name, but at that time we were very into old forms of torture as lyrics theme, so we name the band as ‘Torture Machine’.
Are you all from the same area? How did you get together as a band?
We all are from the same city (Santiago) so it’s relatively easy to hung out and rehearse a lot. The original members of the band are Camilo & Sergio. Tomas joined in 2014 and Patricio in 2019. After several line-up changes, we were looking for a stronger foundation as a band, so we started some auditions and fortunately we met Tomas and then Patricio.
Who are your favourite artists/bands and how have they influenced your own sound?
We have a wide in musical taste terms, we love extreme music and our favourite genre is Death Metal. Bands such as Decapitated, Deicide, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Faceless have been a very strong influence on what we do. We also love the professionalism and dedication of bands like Meshuggah and Behemoth who are Titans on the current industry.
Did you always have the ambition to be a musician and in a band or did you originally have other plans?
As a metalhead, you always started listening heavy music since school days and thinking that one day you’ll be as great as the bands you love, but that’s a hard path to follow, specially here in our country, where culture development and artist support is so weak. We all have professional careers on other areas (except Sergio, who’s a musical producer) but we love to make music and being in a band, so we do this as ‘side career’, but with a great sense of passion and dedication.
What songs or albums are on your current playlist?
Decapitated-Organic Hallucinosis
Ulcerate – Stare into death and be still
At the Gates – Slaughter of the Soul
Hypocrisy – The Arrival
The Black Dahlia Murder-Nocturnal
Cattle Decapitation – Terrasite
The zennit Passage – Datalysium
Obscura – A Valediction
Meshuggah – Obzen
Do you sing in the shower?
Every-fucking-day
Do you have any plans for the band for this year and into next year?
Yeah of course, we have a couple of local shows scheduled for this year, the most important for us is being the supporter band for the show of Revocation in Chile. For the next year we haven’t planned that much, except for a summer show (February for us). There’re some international plans also but nothing’s been confirmed yet.
Do you currently have any new songs/albums ready to be released?
We released an album like 3 months ago so we’re not planning to release anything new on the near future, but, we’re working hard on a new album, rehearsing new songs, planning the pre-production andStudio recording. You can expect new material from us on 2024 for sure!
If you could play at any venue in the world where would you choose?
We’d love to play in Wacken someday, for us it’s like the Cathedral of extreme music, it’s easy to dream (lol) but impossible is nothing.
Do you have a favourite album? If so, what is it?
Camilo: Human – Death
Tomas: Organic Hallucinosis – Decapitated
Sergio: Revocation – Netherheaven
Patricio: Nightmares made Flesh – Bloodbath
If you were putting together the greatest show on earth, who would be playing?
Ufff that’s a hard one, but We’d choose: Meshuggah, Decapitated, Suffocation and Torture Machine
Can you remember the first album you bought with your own money? What was it and do you still have it?
Camilo: Meshuggah ‘I’ Ep Reissue, a jewel on my personal collection
Tomas: Revocation – Self titled
Sergio: Metallica – Master of Puppets
Patricio: Cannibal Corpse – Gore Obssessed

Can you tell us about the origin of the band name, a history of the band and a little bit about the various members?
Well, the name comes from a very difficult episode in my life when I stared to suffer panic attacks and anxiety. I felt that my thoughts were focused only on the inside, and that inside is endless, and endless pit full of traumas and pain. I know that I´ll struggling with this the rest of my life, although, I can live in this abyss in a positive way, not focusing on sorrow and pain. I use that feelings when I create songs.
This is a one-member band by the moment. I played for 12 years covers with some friends, waiting to do music. It never happened. So, I decided leave cover bands and start my own musical adventure. Through the years I learned to play decently, bass guitar, keyboards, guitar and signing, to achieve my goals and realize my ideas.
Are you all from the same area? How did you get together as a band?
In the near future, I plan to make this a 5 members band. In the place I live (Guadalajara, Mexico) I can find a bunch of pretty talented musicians.
Who are your favourite artists/bands and how have they influenced your own sound?
I love Queen and technically all the classic rock bands. Helloween, Ayreon. Angra, Opeth, Symphony X, all Steven Wilson´s projects; Haken, Caligula´s Horse, Soen, Vola, In Flames, Children of Bodom, Riverside, the old Dream Theater’s music, Neil Morse projects, Mike Portnoy, Jaco Pastorius, Rush, Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart, and so on.
They basically influenced me in a lot of different ways. Michael Romeo is my main influence regarding to guitar tone and riff creation. The first time that I heard “ Evolution The grand design” song, it changed my life forever. Mike Portnoy is a very big influence as a composer, Mikael Akerfeldt as well. Steven Wilson is a genius. I love the lyrics, the main production, the concept, the speed, the heaviness, the ballads, etc. I don’t attempt to copy them; nevertheless, I want to do music with the same big quality and impact.
Did you always have the ambition to be a musician and in a band or did you originally have other plans?
Since kid, I always wanted to be a musician, a song´s creator. It hasn´t been easy for me, but the trick is never give up, and still learning the most I can to achieve my goals. I want to release my first LP by the end of this 2023, so, I´m about 3 songs away from it.
What songs or albums are on your current playlist?
All the Opeth albums, all Steven Wilson, Symphony X, Soen music, and I try to listen a new band every day.
Do you sing in the shower?
Always. Is the best place to catch inspiration.
Do you have any plans for the band for this year and into next year?
Yes, make it big, release the LP as I told before, and play in some gigs by the next year.
Do you currently have any new songs/albums ready to be released?
I´m working on my first LP.
If you could play at any venue in the world where would you choose?

Can you tell us about the origin of the band name, a history of the band and a little bit about the various members?
I surmised The Behaviour many years ago when I was kicking around ideas for names that would best represent the sound and vision for what I wanted to do with this solo project. It is an open-ended enough concept that almost any meaning could be drawn from, but for me personally, it is a way to convey reflecting on the world around me, and myself, in the music I create. During these last several years, I underwent some major life changes while experiencing some very traumatic, life-altering, and sobering experiences. Once my perspectives and mindset started to clear and become more focused, I began writing proficiently, solidly for a couple of years. In that time, the mold began to take shape, having a natural progression that led to finally recording the album last year, and bringing it to where it is today. Up to the current moment, it is just myself who has handled every aspect of this. At some point there may very well be a drafting of potential members to help bring this to a live setting, but it will be a very rigorous vetting process. It must be ensured that anyone brought into this orbit is proficient, productive, professional, competent, mature, and sober. I have no time or patience for anything otherwise.
Are you all from the same area? How did you get together as a band?
I created this while living in Colorado, and spending time in the Midwest. Many of my closest relatives and friends are there, which is how it came to be recorded with the assistance of Scott Mackey, a very talented producer and mixing engineer who tremendously helped bring it to fruition. As well as getting Mike Nolte at Eureka Mastering to master it. I now reside in New England.
Who are your favourite artists/bands and how have they influenced your own sound?
The list is endless. For the sake of helping to understand the The Behaviour’s sound and style, I will mention Jeff Buckley, Soundgarden, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, my bloody valentine, Slint, Swervedriver, Failure, Killing Joke, Leonard Cohen, Sisters of Mercy, Swans. I love their huge, vast, textured, open sounds; some being harsher and some being more majestic than others. Chris Cornell, Buckley, Cohen, Bowie – their lyrical approaches all vary greatly, but are undeniable in the way they deliver them. Each is unique in their own way, but all are eloquent and certainly influential in my style of writing and sound. Each artist listed has very admirable and varying songwriting styles, and I take something from all of them combined, just as a foundational layer. One never wants to emulate but be their own thing, and I hope to achieve this no less.
Did you always have the ambition to be a musician and in a band or did you originally have other plans?
Since I was a young boy, I was brought up in a very musical environment, as my father was a musician. I learned to play the drums as I learned to walk, being present at his rehearsals and watching his drummers like a hawk. Though I excelled academically and have always found interests in other areas such as science, mathematics, literature, philosophy, etc, music has always been a constant. My first professional music gig was actually being hired as my father’s band’s drummer when I was 15, and that taught me so much about the weaving interpersonal dynamics of playing with others. Of course I always had my own bands going on as well, and by the time I was halfway through college, and doing exceedingly well, I was presented with an opportunity to dive head first into pursuing this avenue. At the time, it was either give one-third of myself to academia, another to attaining reliable income, and the other to pursuing a career in music. I gave all to the latter, and never looked back. I went on to some amazing things with very remarkable artists that I will always be proud of. Now I am here, better, healthier, more focused, and invigorated more than ever as a solo artist.
What songs or albums are on your current playlist?
“Dance Me to the End of Love” by Leonard Cohen, “Red Eyes and Tears” by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, “Like Suicide” by Soundgarden, “Stuck on You” by Failure, “Grace” by Jeff Buckley, “Glenn” by Slint, “The Egg” by Shiner, “Resurrection Song” by Mark Lanegan, “Love of LIfe” by Swans, “Song with No Name’ by Dax Riggs, “Shelter Song” by Temples, “Be All Things” by Chelsea Wolfe, “Only Shallow” by my bloody valentine
Do you sing in the shower?
Occasionally, depending on my mood.
Do you have any plans for the band for this year and into next year?
The first 2 singles are currently out, from the album A Sin Dance which is out on September 15th. Following that, there will be more recording and singles into next year, with occasional shows throughout that time with promotional campaigns as well
Do you currently have any new songs/albums ready to be released?
Yes, as explained above.
If you could play at any venue in the world where would you choose?
Red Rocks in Colorado
Do you have a favourite album? If so, what is it?
Pink Floyd’s Animals or Miles Davis’ Bitches Brew
Do you have any guilty pleasure songs/albums?
I’m not sure I feel guilty about any, but perhaps Kiss’ Unmasked
If you were putting together the greatest show on earth, who would be playing?
Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, Failure, Autolux, Nick Cave, Swans, my bloody valentine, Diamanda Galas, Einsturzende Neubauten
Can you remember the first album you bought with your own money? What was it and do you still have it?
Deep Purple’s Machine Head, and yes I do
As your fans will be reading this, is there any message you would like to send out to them?
I hope that any of the artists I have mentioned as influences you are curious to discover for your own self, and that leads you to a greater and deeper appreciation of independent and/or underground artists such as myself, and unique, left-field or niche music/artists that deserve appreciation and respect as much as those that are more popular

Can you tell us about the origin of the band name, a history of the band and a little bit about the various members?
The band was actually started back in 2009 under the name of KinderVoss. I started the working on the songs putting together a concept album “Tales of the Spanish Kings” ala 70s prog rock. The original line up was set, but we kept having scheduling conflicts and the album was shelved for the time being. In early 2022, I met Timo Janse in the Netherlands, and we began putting the album back together (seeing who could out solo the other one).
Are you all from the same area? How did you get together as a band?
No, there’s currently two of us. I’m from the US but now in Mexico. Timo the guitarist is in the Netherlands. I’ve always tried to use musicians from around the world. I think my first band “Whispers of the Dragon” represented members from Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Who are your favourite artists/bands and how have they influenced your own sound?
Any one from progressive rock era including Yes, ELP, Pink Floyd, and Genesis, but the two most influencial were Rick Wakeman (YES) and Keith Emerson (ELP).
Did you always have the ambition to be a musician and in a band or did you originally have other plans?
No I really loved to play the keyboard and write songs but never wanted to turn it into a career. Was never someone who liked uncertainty that the music business would bring.
What songs or albums are on your current playlist?
Currently alot of independent musicians (we end up in these playlists together). We kind of have this invisible bond of battling for attention at the same time supporting each other.
Do you sing in the shower?
No, my wife won’t let me.
Do you have any plans for the band for this year and into next year?
We have two maybe three EPs (four songs each) being released in the next month or so. The first one is almost done and we have three of the four songs for the second EP already recorded.
Do you currently have any new songs/albums ready to be released?
Same as above.
If you could play at any venue in the world where would you choose?
Wacken in Germany, really the coolest vibe I’ve ever seen.
Do you have a favourite album? If so, what is it?
Rare Earth’s live album way back in the early 70s. There one of the greatest jam bands (I think). Twenty three minutes of “Get Ready” always puts me in a good mood. I once got the pleasure of seeing them in a small casino stage setup, it was incredible the whole casino stopped to listen.
Do you have any guilty pleasure songs/albums?
Love 60/70s pop like the Partridge Family, Turtles and the Monkees.
If you were putting together the greatest show on earth, who would be playing?
Depeche Mode, Nightwish, Yes, and Metallica (with orchestra). A nice blend of styles.
Can you remember the first album you bought with your own money? What was it and do you still have it?
Long time ago, not sure, but it had to be a live album. For the most part I only wanted to here live versions (Uriah Heep, Yes, Woodstock, Rare Earth, Black Oak Arkansas, and Genesis, the list is long. Love the crowd involvment. Sadley I no longer own any albums. I do miss them.
As your fans will be reading this, is there any message you would like to send out to them?
I read something yesterday that was pretty cool. It said that fans don’t think they can reach out and say they listened to your music and to let you know what they thought about it. Musicans can’t get enough feedback, that’s what we crave.
Finally, let us know all your social media sites so your fans, old and new, can find and follow/like you!
We’re a bit shy of the social media scene and have stayed away from it until recently. Thus we’re currently only on twitter at @tilburgprogrock so far. We were on Instragram for a day but someone took over the account and did something bad because we were banned for a year.

Can you tell us about the origin of the band name, a history of the band and a little bit about the various members?
Comaniac is a fusion word from “company” and “maniac” and describes our manic hunger for contemporary Thrash Metal. No one will ever be able to copy the 1980s classics so why even trying? We are currently releasing our fourth studio album since the formation in 2012. After countless tours in Europe with bands such as “Metal Church”, “Overkill” and “Vektor” we played our own Japan Tour in 2018. Our most famous member is drummer “Stef” who also used to play for “Triptykon” a few years ago.
Are you all from the same area? How did you get together as a band?
We are from the same area and were thrashing clubs in our teenage years way before we were together in the band. I guess we are the core of that time that is still living for the music with full passion.
Who are your favourite artists/bands and how have they influenced your own sound?
Besides all the legendary Thrash Metal bands we are highly influenced by progressive music from Opeth, Symphony X, Nevermore or Leprous just to name a few. We have huge respect towards bands who created a unique direction within a genre like Opeth did with Death Metal.
Did you always have the ambition to be a musician and in a band or did you originally have other plans?
It was the decision from the first minute to dedicate our lives to music and hasn’t changed since then. We are trying to do the best music we can but we’re still the same plebs struggling with our own tunes every day.
What songs or albums are on your current playlist?
I just discovered the Austalian band “In Malice’s Wake” which I really enjoy at the moment. I am also looking forward to hearing the new “Soen” album which was released a few weeks ago. Still didn’t find the time to really listen to it.
Do you sing in the shower?
Of course, but only in head voice trying to do harmonies to “The Odyssey” by “Symphony X”
Do you have any plans for the band for this year and into next year?
We are trying to tell as many people about our newest album “None For All” out October 13, 2023. Live concerts will play a big part within this plan for sure.
Do you currently have any new songs/albums ready to be released?
The full length album “None For All” will be out on October 13, 2023 and available on CD and vinyl. Until then we are dropping single releases so we definitely recommend everyone to follow our socials and look out for our Spotify and YouTube channel.
If you could play at any venue in the world where would you choose?
We played at “Zeche” Bochum in 2017 with which is a legendary location in Germany supporting “Overkill”. We had to play right at the minute the doors opened which was rough because there weren’t too many people in the crowd. That was just a poor organisation in general and I would love to go back there and play a proper show because the club is really cool.
Do you have a favourite album? If so, what is it?
I could name my favourite album from every favourite band, but in general? No way! I can say though that the album “…And Justice For All” was probably the one that influenced me the most in my teenage years.
Do you have any guilty pleasure songs/albums?
I really enjoy listening to the “Born To Die” album by “Lana Del Rey” from time to time.
If you were putting together the greatest show on earth, who would be playing?
Definitely “At The Gates” and “Coroner”, everything else would be extra.
Can you remember the first album you bought with your own money? What was it and do you still have it?
I remember buying the albums “Garage Inc.” by Metallica and an “Apocalyptica” album as my first albums. I was listening to “Mutter” by “Rammstein” and “Meteora” by “Linkin Park” already at that time but had to borrow them from my older brother.
As your fans will be reading this, is there any message you would like to send out to them?
Always ask yourself: “what can I do for my team?”
