Mark Winters – My Christmas

It is that time again when all the Christmas tunes come out! I don’t know about you guys, but I love it!

When I first heard Mark’s “My Christmas”, I was shocked. It is not the normal Mariah Carey style, but it is definitely just as good! Mark has taken the happiness of Christmas and combined it with an upbeat, folk-rock sound, and it has turned out amazing!

Mark’s voice is very real and pure, and he sings with such joy, enabling him to spread that Christmas spirit that we all know and love. I cannot fault his voice at all, and it goes so well with the instrumental.

Mark has been playing guitar for quite a few years now, and he is definitely good at it. The acoustics in this song, give us that more country side of rock, which is something we do not usually hear in Christmas songs!

If you are the mood for Christmas spirit, then give this song a listen to, and I am sure you will find yourself just as pleasantly surprised as I was.

Nana Kottens – One More Chance

Originated from Ghana, Nana Kottens is bringing is African culture to his music, creating a sound that is just amazing.

Nana Kottens is heavily influenced by R&B, soul, hip-hop, reggae, and pop. When I first came across “One more chance” I thoroughly enjoyed it and found myself humming the tune later that night.

To kick this off, it is undeniable that Nana Kottens voice is unreal, he sings so clearly and captivates us with his sound and harmonies. His voice soothes us and makes us feel an overwhelming sense of relaxation.

The music has the reggae element combined with modern R&B, which really makes us appreciate the two different cultures, African and American.

Not only is the whole song amazing, but the lyricism is also understandable, as he is asking for another chance, something that many of us may have done after a dip in our lives.

Honestly, go give Nana Kottens’ song a listen to and you will absolutely love it! This one will undoubtedly be going on my own playlist.

Mia Delamar – Silly

Mia Delamar’s latest drop “Silly” is the perfect R&B, pop song!

The vocals in “Silly” are absolutely fantastic, and her voice is so good you cannot describe it! Mia’s vocalism is ideal for this kind of track, as her performance gives reminders of artists like Mabel, Rihanna and Little Mix. She is a rising superstar, and I am so intrigued to see what else she has in store for us.

The beat in “Silly” is undoubtedly catchy, with a memorable sound. This is the kind of tune that you play on repeat all day. Mia has added the use of back-up vocals to harmonize with lead, which creates a beautiful sounding tune. Mia even has added a little rap to really show the talent of the songster.

Notevenstevens – Patina

Notevenstevens is progressively growing artist, who creates unreal sounding instrumentals. He is a songwriter, producer and music enthusiast that takes you into the underground with his uniqueness.

“Patina” is notevenstevens latest single, and it is a great one! He teamed up with Femme Fatene, and together they have created an amazing track.

The music includes very modern, electronic synth beats, which create a surreal atmosphere. This beat is one that makes you want to move your body too and seeks out positivity.

I must say, the vocals in “Patina” are fantastic, as her voice gives off an angelic feel. She sings softly, and her voice takes clear inspiration from other R&B tracks. That is what makes this tune so great, as the combination of R&B and dream pop draws us in with its unfamiliarity.

Have little look below at notevenstevens music, and let them take you into a unreal dimension.

Thy Veils – Influx

nflux” is an incredible synth-pop sounding track, with technological sounds and beats.

The beats within “Influx” are snappy and the sound gives off a very futuristic feel. The song includes bell like sounding bubbly noises, that is very unique compared to other recent hits, yet it is amazing! This is a track that feels like we are being taken into another realm.

As the song progresses, we are welcomed to other insane beats, that are so captivating and interesting, that we just want to hear more of it! Thy Veils’ sound creates a magnificent energy, which allows us to enjoy the track even more.

The vocals are kept to a minimum in “Influx”, however they are very beneficial, as the high notes that are reached blend unexpectedly well with the music.

Thy Veils are releasing a new album, which includes this hit, and I am so excited to see what the album brings us. If you are yet to hear music from Thy Veils, then please give this track a listen to, and I guarantee you will find yourself engulfed within their sound!

E.W. Harris – The Damage

As soon as I heard “The damage”, I could feel the power and emotional atmosphere.

E.W. Harris, a rock/folk artist, has dropped this new hit, one of which has quite a deep and intellectual meaning. Sometimes a sombre sounding song is the one, as it is perfect for a rainy day.

“The damage” has clear components of rock, with the use of guitars, and steady drumbeats. This gives the song that powerful kick to it. However, Harris’ music is not the same as others, his sound is uniquely his, and it is one hell of a sound!

I think we could all say that his vocals in this piece are outstanding! I am a lover for a pure, and soulful voice, and that is exactly what Harris presents in this song. We can really hear his talent, and capabilities within “The damage”.

I cannot give E.W. Harris enough credit for this song, and I personally am thrilled to see what else he has in store!

Please give Harris’ new track a listen to!

John Vento – Sweet Cheslie

John Vento is an ongoing musician, who has recently released an amazing new track called “Sweet Cheslie”. “Sweet Cheslie” is a soft, acoustic tune, that is filled with nostalgia and pleasantness.

John has created this piece for an important reason, suicide prevention awareness month. The song is dedicated to the sadly passed Cheslie Kryst, who unfortunately lost her life to suicide. This song holds such significant meanings, and it must be heard widely.

We are introduced with a beautiful acoustic guitar, with a continued soft and mellow sound that continues throughout the song. Towards the end we witness a beautiful guitar solo, which really makes us sit and think about the true meaning of the song. Not only is the instrumental side of this song amazing, but John Vento’s vocals are also just as great. He sings with such emotion and soul, that it almost brings a tear to your eye.

Suicide prevention is a very crucial topic, and the fact that Vento has created such a track dedicated towards it, he must receive all the appreciation he deserves.

If you are yet to listen to “Sweet Cheslie” then make sure you do, as this one cannot be missed (and I mean that!).

C Kahari – Rolling, Floating

WOW!

What a tune this song is!

If you are a fan of R&B, rap or hip-hop, then you with unquestionably love this track just as much as I do. “Rolling, floating” is C Kahari’s second track, yet it is so amazing that you would never have guessed.

The tune has a strong bassline throughout, the kind that gets your body grooving to the beat. This is the perfect song for a day full of relaxing and chilling. The music is quite minimalised, with a repeated beat, but it’s undoubtedly still effective.

I am obliged to say how good C Kahari’s vocals are. His voice is so soothing, and he raps so well. I am so intrigued to see C Kahari release other songs.

“Rolling, floating” is going to be one I continue to listen to, and you should definitely give this track a listen to. C Kahari is the kind of artist that you could listen to on repeat all day and still not get bored!

Mark Millar – The Great Adventure

“The Great Adventure” is Mark Millar’s latest release, in which he wrote about his own wife and their long-term love. And who doesn’t love a good love song?

Mark sings about love and focuses on the older generation and their romance, which is a shift from what we are used to.

“The Great Adventure” is a guitar-based track, that includes a real instrumental. The drumbeat is simple yet extremely catchy, making us enjoy the tune even more. The outro is purely just music, leaving us in a happy and positive mindset.

The vocals in “The Great Adventure” are raw and outstanding. Mark has a voice where what we hear is just natural.

This soft-rock style of song is one that everybody can enjoy. I myself cannot find a single fault in this song, as it is a meaningful love song, condensed with amazing vocals and instrumentalists.

Please give Mark Millar’s song a listen to, and if you enjoy it then give his other music a go!

“Never give up” is their newest release, and I got to say, it’s a good one!

This track has elements of pop, synth, and rock. It is an upbeat, positive track, that persuades you to tap your foot or even dance to it! It has a strong drumbeat, overlapped with modern electronically created sounds. This song almost makes you feel like you are having a party in space!
