Connor Mac – See Through

Connor Mac’s new song is a beautiful and melodic, heartfelt tune, which unquestionably needs to be listened to.

Mac’s harmonising vocals are undoubtedly the spotlight of this one, as he really expresses his vocal ability throughout “See through”. His voice is an example of comfort but we can also genuinely hear the emotion in his voice. Connor also shares a really powerful message in his song, as he apprises us about having confidence within yourself, and overcoming that self-doubt.

The choice of music in this track is superb, as the guitar strumming flows perfectly with Connor’s voice. Additionally, the use of drums (especially the bass drum in the chorus) helps the song to progress the powerful message.

Connor Mac’s music is one that I would love to hear more of therefore I will browse other songs of his. If you haven’t heard this soulful track yet, please go and give it a listen to.

Rhian! – I Need Your Love

“I need your love” is a lively pop track, that fills you with confidence and happiness. Rhian! wanted to steer away from his usual mellow music to a more upbeat and vibrant song.

To start this off, this song has immaculate vibes to it, and is perfect for people to listen to whilst dancing or even out clubbing on a Saturday night. The energy is continuous throughout the track and really gets you feeling positive.

Rhian! has used more of an electronic and dance side of pop, laced with inspiration of the 90s. The baseline is bold and prominent and his brings almost an element of nostalgia of older music.

All the vocals in “I need your love” are also remarkable, ensuring that confident and energetic feel remains. His vocals are enchanting and definitely keep you absorbed within the track.

Kelsie Kimberlin – Cosmopolitan Girl

After hearing previous work of Kelsie’s, when I came across this song, I must say I was excited to see what else Kelsie had in store. As it stands “Cosmopolitan girl” is of course another great song.

Kimberlin’s voice is one that is distinctive but beautiful, and she honestly has done immensely well with this track.

Who doesn’t love an upbeat, happy feel song made by an artist with a beautiful voice?

The song maintains a positive vibe, with a steady instrumental throughout. This is undoubtedly a track that you would listen to whilst dancing in the kitchen.

Not only is this song one that fills us with excitement, but it is also one that sends out a powerful message about war and cultural differences. Kimberlin aims to spread appreciation for other cultures and embrace our differences. Such a powerful meaning behind this song really brings Kimberlin’s personality and kindness to light here.

Animate – Unbound

“Unbound” is an absolutely beautiful song, that ties all the perfect components together, creating a masterpiece.

Animate decided to take it down a notch from their usual music and do an acoustic piece. The guitar in this song is amazing, as it allows you to cherish life and feel that sense of warmth. In the later part, Animate include a small little electric guitar solo, that really emphasises the warmth of the song.

‘Unbound’ is a song of relaxation and allowing the song to be made up acoustic instruments really gains more listeners. The sentiment and emotion of this song is also expressed through the vocals as we can really hear it in his voice.

This song can be appreciated by anyone of any age and you guys should definitely give this one a listen to!

Animate are increasingly growing as an artist, and as an artist full of potential, I hope to hear more work from them soon.

Benedicta Syran – Let Me Be

Do you ever hear a song that is not generally your type of music, but end up loving it? That is how I feel with Benedicta’s Syran’s “Let me be”.

Benedicta’s aim with song was to uplift people and feel them with positivity, which is exactly what she does with this track. The idea of independence and individuality is very prominent with children growing up, going through change. On top of that her vocals are extremely clear and melodious.

Unlike a lot of recent music, Benedicta’s song includes the use of a band with instruments rather than electrified music. The use of this makes the song more enjoyable and more joyful.

Not only has she released this version, she has also released an acoustic version of “Let me be” that Is just as amazing!

If you are ever feeling down or trapped, Benedicta’s music is unquestionably one that you should give a listen to.

Hannyta – Fluctuating

Dance pop with an edgy inspiration? 100%

I was taken by surprise with how much I enjoyed this song. Everything about it is absolutely amazing, the vocals, the beat, the lyrics, the vibe.

Quite often we experience that fight between our head and heart when it comes to difficult relationships and Hannyta is expressing this topic within the lyrics of her song. However, rather than portraying it in a sad, dull song, she uses her talent and knowledge of the electronic/dance pop genre to do so.

The vocals in “Fluctuating” are outstanding, and as a young artist of just 17 years, her voice quite literally takes your breath away. She sings alone, and still manages to maintain an interest and love of her voice.

The song is upbeat and brings you up on your feet to dance to.

Whether dance pop is your taste or not, I can guarantee you that you will dig this song and you will feel an urge to dance to it. So please go ahead and listen to Hannyta’s track and help boost her listening.

Kyle M Watson – WHAT NOW (Triggered)

“What now” is an absolutely great and catchy song, that I can assure you, you will love!

Everybody loves a bit of Ne-Yo style R&B, and this a perfect example of that. The song has a positive vibe to it, and it cannot be faulted in anyway.

Kyle’s vocals are also exceptional in this song. His voice is very laid back, but we can really hear the talent that he possess in this song. The backing vocals, towards the latter half of the track, really compliment the lead.

The musical side of Watson’s track also really help with the good feel of the song. It is very catchy and is one that just makes you want to dance to.

I could not recommend this song enough and as a lover of R&B “What now” is hands down a great song, that is full of potential. Nonetheless, please go support Kyle and his music, he certainly deserves it!

Rachel Davie Lee – Love Is In The Air

OMG! What a beautiful voice Rachel has!

The first time I heard this song, I was drawn to the vocals and how well she sounds. At different times, we can hear her large vocal range, as she expresses using both high and low notes.

This is one of those lovely, warm songs about romance, that we are all guilty of loving! It is also perfect to dance to with your loved ones.

It begins with a gorgeous melodic piano, really showing the romanticism of the song. This is then joined with a steady beat, that is maintained throughout the remaining of the song. Rachel’s steady beat almost reminds me of a heartbeat, symbolising everlasting love between two people.

Overall, this song is a perfect pop love song, and is definitely one that I’ll be adding to my playlist.

Anyways, please go and give Rachel Davie Lee’s song a little listen to.

Jen Ash – Crush On You

Written by Samantha Flint

“Crush on you” is the perfect 90s style R&B hit, that we all love to hear!

Jen’s song is an upbeat, mood lifting track, that is perfect for listening to. She vocalises about that exciting thrill you get when you have a crush on somebody new. Even by listening to the song, we can really feel that excitement that is being sung about.

The vocals in this track are also outstanding and she has a voice that is perfect for this kind of music. Her sound reminds me of artists that we all know and love, like Beyoncé and Mariah Carey.

Sasha Bonn – Omega

Written by Samantha Flint

You know sometimes you hear that song, which is not usually your kind of music, but it takes you by surprise, this is one of those.

“Omega” gives you a feeling of outer space from the very start due to the electronic beats of the song. It is very 90s style inspired electro pop.

The spoken-word vocals also bring a very robotic, and spacelike vibe. Sasha Bonn’s voice is very distinctive and brings overwhelming power to the song.

“Omega” is the last letter in the Greek alphabet and therefore singing about “getting to omega”, shows that they want to reach the big finale, and end up at the end together. The idea of an ever-lasting relationship, is something that many want, and Sasha sings about it in a more upbeat, dance way, rather than an emotional way like many other artists.

If electronic pop or dance music is your style, then you must give this song a listen to!
