Immortalizer – Lemmy (Single)

Music is for fans of classic style heavy Metal and all open minded Metalheads.

Dave D.R. is a multi-instrumentalist recording artist and performer from Ontario Canada. He released his debut EP on CD and 7” Vinyl in 2016 and on social media in 2020. he is currently writing and recording the first full length album. “Special thanks to Jobert Mello of SLEDGEHAMMER GRAPHIX for his amazing cover art as well as the new Immortalizer logo” – Dave D.R.

Listen to the song on Soundcloud

When Dave was as kid, he was profoundly inspired by Heavy Metal and Rock pioneers like Motorhead, Judas Priest, Saxon, Iron Maiden, Dio, Black Sabbath, Ozzy, Primal Fear, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Van Halen, Thin Lizzy, Megadeth, Metallica, Whitesnake, Deep Purple and KISS (to name only a few). He began as a drummer when he was nine years old, then eventually taught himself to sing, play guitar, bass and keyboards. In 2020 he started working with legendary Metal singer Ralf Scheepers of Primal Fear to further develop his vocal abilities.

Dave has always tried his best to create new and exciting music. When he started writing material for IMMORTALIZER, he wanted to create something original but that still had a vintage feel to it. His aim is not to copy what’s already been done but rather to contribute something fresh and entertaining. He hope’s you’ll agree once you’ve heard the music. Don’t forget to crank up the volume! You can also find IMMORTALIZER on ITunes & the official website www.immortalizermusic.com Cheers!

Alter Bridge – The Last Hero

With four full length albums under their belts, Alter Bridge, the American rock band from Orlando in Florida, are back in 2016 with their new album “The Last Hero” set for release on 7th October by Napalm Records.

Originally cited as a supergroup when they formed in 2004 following the disbandment of Creed, they have now secured their spot as one of the best live bands around and their uniqueness is clear to see with this release.

After singer Myles Kennedy spent much of 2015 touring with Slash and lead guitarist Mark Tremonti worked on two albums and a tour with his self-titled group, the band reconvened in late 2015 and, alongside producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette, started work on something that was darker and more political in nature than anything they had done before.

A 13 song masterpiece, “The Last Hero” kicks off with the first single release from the album “Show Me A Leader” a song that reflects a lot of people’s frustration at the state of the world and it is obvious this is the start of an epic journey.

With themes such as political leadership, global warming and heroism throughout, this is a bold rock album that portrays our troubled times. It is harder-edged and more focused with many aspects of previous albums replaced with a streamlined logo and political lyricism. “Writings on the Wall” is about people who deny the legitimacy of global warning, “Poison in your Veins” is about believing in oneself while “My Champion” is an ode to Kennedy’s parents whose encouragement drove him to achieve his dreams.

Musically, Kennedy and Tremonti continue to set the bar when it comes to their guitar skills. Their playing is incredible throughout the entire album and they constantly trade off one another with waves of heavy riffs and outstanding solos. The rhythm section comprising of Brian Marshall on the bass and Scot Phillips on the drums is powerful and solid, and mixed together with the amazing vocal range of Kennedy, the band truly are developing a sound that is quite unique to them.

The album finishes with the title track “The Last Hero” and, at an epic seven minutes long, rounds the album off on a high. This is an album that not only sounds bloody good, but makes you think too. The world as we know it is falling apart, and these guys know it. Political themes may not be to everyone’s taste, some people preferring just to rock out to some good old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll, but if we can bring world issues to the foreground using rock music, then surely that’s a good thing? Right?

Guitarist Mark Tremonti has previously been quoted as saying that “every time we do a record, my only goal is for people to simply think it’s better than the previous one.”

I think they succeeded…….but grab yourself a copy when its released on 7th October and see for yourself!

Offering escapism from everyday life, Vis Mystica transports listeners into a fantastical world of magical powers and epic stories with their Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic inspired power metal. Along with taking great influence from other bands, they possess a style that is unique and holds its own in the power metal landscape. Their 2021 album “Celestial Wisdom” is a fantastical journey into a world full of mystic powers and sprawling landscapes, with a classic ‘Good vs. Evil’ battle and many memorable locations and detailed stories.

Today, the band shares their third single “Whispering Winds of Fate” off the forthcoming record. The track is a guide for listeners to the main world Tython where the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic story takes place. Tython is a terrestrial planet located in the galaxy’s Deep Core region that is shrouded in myth. The Martyrium of Frozen Tears built by Jedi there and some Jedi scholars made the case that Tython was the site of the Jedi Order’s first temple. During the Galactic Civil War, DoctorChelli Lona Aphra led Darth Vader to Tython’s Meridional Ice Cap to mislead him as to the location of the Rebel Alliance’s main base, which was actually on the Outer Rim planet Hoth.

“Whispering Winds of Fate” is an audio storytelling to describe the sentient world calling out telepathically to beings spread throughout the galaxy to board nine ships and come bask in the planet’s knowledge and secrets. The track also features guest vocals from Dragonland’s Jonas Heidgert.

Vis Mytica‘s Connor McCray (Guitar, Bass, Orchestration) comments:

“The final song written for the album and in our opinion possibly the best. All parties came together to combine catchy melodies with great vocal lines and a powerhouse effort from Jonas Heidgert.”

Vis Mystica was initially formed by Connor McCray, in late 2015 as a creative outlet to pursue his passion for Symphonic Power Metal while he was still a member of a blackened death metal band at the time.

Track Listing:
1. Whispering Winds of Fate (feat. Jonas Heidgert)

Serpent Lord (GR) New Single “The Gospel Of Judas” & Lyric Video!

For fans of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween

One year after their latest release, the Greek heavy metallers Serpent Lord (GR) released a new single, entitled “The Gospel of Judas”. The song is an introduction to a new chapter for the band, which will come with their upcoming album.

As the band states: “The Gospel of Judas” is inspired by the Apocrypha Gospel of Judas, which was found and given to publicity for the first time in 2006. Serpent Lord (GR) presents a different approach on Judas’ character, not as a traitor but as Christ’s favorite student.

Judas executes the Divine Plan, in order to lead Christ to his resurrection. However, Judas hangs himself because he felt guilty, which shows, according to the band, that the he was manipulated by God and that’s why he is remembered as a traitor and not as a savior, as he should be.

“The Gospel of Judas” was released along with a lyric video.

Watch the video

The song was recorded during the summer of 2020 at Infected Studios, with Nash Makridis participating as a session drummer.

Below, is the single cover, designed by Giannis Antoniou.About the song:“The Gospel of Judas” is a fast tempo heavy metal song with atmospheric elements and death/black metal vibe at some parts. “The Gospel of Judas” tells the story of a forgotten Gospel, a buried from the Church, Gospel. It’s a different story from the one we already know about Judas. A story that could ruin all the Christian Church. Maybe Judas wasn’t a traitor. Maybe he just did God’s plan. Maybe he was betrayed and manipulated by God. The song is about betrayal and manipulation, not only the one we receive from God, but from humans, too.

Line up: Marios Arikas – vocals

George Terzitanos – rhythm/lead guitars/back vocals

Konstantinos Sotirelis – bass/back vocals

Lazaros Bouroutzoglou – rhythm/lead guitars

Nash Makridis – drums (session)
