Stockholm Sweden’s ‘Story Metal’ trio PRESSURE have delivered yet again with another riveting and mesmerizing track from their up-and-coming album. Right from the opening laughter and guitar riffs from the heavy guitars, the song just keeps your ears at attention and wanting more. Olof’s growling but clear tone just grabs and brings you inside the track. This single release is from the trio’s up and coming album which will be self released sometime late April, early May.

WHAT YOU SEE (is what you get) the latest single from Pressure continues to express the ins-and-outs of life’s pressures. This particular track relays the message of how society perceives people. The man centered in the song is strong within himself. The track pushes the genre of music Pressure intends it to, which they are calling “STORY METAL”.

“Story metal combines characteristics of traditional heavy metal with elements of melodic rock, with a lot of focus on the vocals! The beat varies as the mood of the song is written to reflect a true experience, challenge, emotion or occasion. “- Simon Forsell.

The term Story metal was first used in 2020 by the Swedish story metal band Pressure who plays story metal with three guitars and recorded drums and bass!

Story Metal definitely describes the concept of their songs and for the up-and-coming album.
A quote from Simon Forsell sums it up…

“Everyone has dreams – dare to live them. Everyone has inner strengths – do not let anyone tell you otherwise. Be yourself, show us what and who you are. Stand up, stand tall. What You See Is What You Get!”

The Band
Who are Pressure I hear you ask? Well if you had to tag them with a genre the one that fits best is a ‘melodic rock’ but they’re so much more than that. Hailing from Stockholm, Sweden and with vocalist Olof Jönsson you can always guarantee soaring, athletic and committed vocals. Together with a twin guitar sound coming from songwriter and lead guitarist Simon “Siirpo” Forsell and Emil Salling. Their work often focuses and embraces the pressures felt from everyday existence. Their lyrics ably demonstrating that there are two sides to every story – the good and the bad. Every song has a double meaning and they truly see music as a tool to handle the different pressures thrown at us from the modern world.

The band began their journey together in 2018, and since then they’ve worked tirelessly developing their sound and live performance, their aim? To make memories with their fans and to an epic musical soundtrack and develop the Story Metal genre.

A quote that can summarize their lyrics is: “How can you tell a story about life if you haven’t dared to live life to its fullest!

Pressure is all about every story, every moment, every Pressure!

Hellz – Salute

For fans of Lita Ford, Joan Jett, Vixen

Hellz first release of 2021 ‘Salute’

“The female of the species is more deadly than the male. The very last thing you want to do is get on the wrong side of Hellz as she proves this maxim, tearing your heart out with her bare hands whilst smiling with a warmth that could outshine a thousand suns. With her usual glorious mix of heaviness and unique vocals that are some of the best in rock, Hellz leads the way.”- Paul Monkhouse for MPM

New year newer, bigger, badass music from Hellz .The Australian Queen of rock Hellz is starting 2021 off with the January 9th release of her new hard rock anthem ‘Salute’. Salute written by Lisa Perry and produced by the phenomenal Daryl Abyss from ‘The Abyss’, is the first of a new collaborative project between Hellz and the Abyss that will roll out some amazing rock anthems in 2021.

Salute is an official one finger salute to life’s darkest demon’s. The narcissists, (Gaslighters), the mind manipulators.

Written by Lisa Perry lead singer of Hellz on a plane ride back from the USA to Sydney in 2019 after a whirlwind of a journey that left some bitter memories in her mind. Lisa Perry states “bad experiences always create great songs, so for that I thank the asshole that ‘Salute’ is about”. “I think everyone needs to give the old 1 finger Salute to that someone special in their life.” Mental abuse in any way, shape or form is never ok. Salute the official video hits the Hellz Facebook page on January 9th 2021 followed by the release in all music stores globally on the 15th of January 2021. Hellz will be touring internationally in 2021 with Global Unity Tours on the International Women Of Rock Unity tour.

SNOW – Skate Fast Die Hard

For fans of The Shrine, Revolution Mother, Black Flag

Released (November, 27)
The new Sludge / Punk / Stoner Rock project SNOW is releasing their first single on November 27th. “Skate Fast Die Hard” is a manifesto for freedom and frenzy packed with musical elements linked to Hardcore Punk, Sludge, Stoner Rock and Rock’n roll. Fast and accurated with a sonic urgency, fast and heavy riffs and an apotheotic ending that shakes the brain the song is the first of the two singles from the band’s debut album, leaded by Rodrigo Neves (TIGERSHARKS) and which has the collaboration of friends. The album “Skate Fast Die Hard” is expected to be released in early 2021 through Red Garage Records but before that another single from the band will be released.

About SNOW:

With the arrival of the pandemic situation 2020 became a chaotic year. With the Covid blast many people stayed in their homes. This situation made Rod (from the band TIGERSHARKS) take an old idea to the band SNOW. The band is a solo project that he always wanted to put together, a project more focused on Sludge and Doom, with strong influences from Hardcore Punk and Stoner.

Watch this music video

The band has both slow and dense sounds, as well as faster and simpler ones, and influences from names like The Shrine, Revolution Mother and Black Flag, being a perfect soundtrack for a Skate ride, smoking or driving a Cadillac on the rise velocity . The album was produced by Rodrigo and Andrez Machado (longtime friend and owner of the Red Garage studio in Porto Alegre / RS). The band’s first album was recorded remotely with Rod recording guitars, vocals and drums, while Andrez recorded other guitar lines and mixed / mastered the material. In addition to the two, the album also featured bassist Rodrigo Borba in the low frequencies.

The first single, “Skate Fast Die Hard is a perfect soundtrack for a skate ride. The sound is Stoner Rock, Crossover and the purest Rock’n roll. Transiting between the energetic chaos at 200km / h and the dense drag the track is born as the first single from SNOW and that baptizes their debut album to be released in 2021 by Red Garage Records. The artwork for the single “Skate Fast Die Hard”, as well all the others related to the project, are made by Rodrigo Neves himself.
