Rockshots Records is proud to announce their signing of Grenoble, France’s AVALAND, an epic and symphonic metal opera, directed, written, and composed by young 22-year-old prodigy Adrien G. Gzagg.

Inspired by heroic fantasy, history, mythologies, and esoterism, Gzagg decided to create an epic story with 8 characters. Entitled “Theater Of Sorcery”, the debut will be a theatrical metal adventure that tells the story of a young sorcerer Adam Wilstorm who could be the salvation of bringing back the light to the kingdom of Avaland and during his journey, he must learn to control his powers linked to the Storm.

For AVALAND, Gzagg reunited with four musician friends Camille Souffron (Bass), Christophe Feutrier (Guitars), Lucas Martinez (Guitars), and Léo Mouchonay (Drums) that he has performed with in the past to help him to record the metal opera’s debut full-length. The record also includes talented guests for vocals and guitars with Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear), Zak Stevens (Savatage/TSO), Zaher Zorgati (Myrath), Emmanuelson (Rising Steel), Stéphan Forté (Adagio), Madie (Nightmare) among many other great musicians. 

Gzagg adds:

“I started my heavy metal life as a great fan of Avantasia and Ayreon. I was impressed by those big teams Tobias Sammet and Arjen Lucassen could create. I quickly knew I would make something like this in my life! It wasn’t easy to find musicians who were crazy enough to follow me in this adventure, and I thank them so much for their trust in this project, especially guitarist Christophe Feutrier (guitars) my partner in crime for Avaland for 5 years now.

I like to also add that Avaland is not a “classic” band, it’s a Metal-Opera and when Covid is over, I plan to take it the stage with many vocalists to perform this theatrical tale of an epic and magical story. To sum it up, Avaland is a modern-age opera to not just fans of metal, but beyond!”

The album will be released on April 2, 2021.

“For this song, we invited our good friends, singers, who are all somehow connected to SIGNUM REGIS. Göran Edman was the lead singer of the band in the early days and recorded with us the 1st and the 2nd album. Mayo Petranin (Castaway, Symphonity) was our lead singer in 2014-2018, Matt Smith (Theocracy) and Samuel Nyman (Manimal) were our special guests on the Exodus album (2013), David Åkesson has been working with us externally since our 2019 release “The Seal Of A New World”. Of course, our current lead singer, Jota Fortinho, is there too!

We are very happy that this little reunion took place and that we were able to make together some music again. It brought back a lot of good memories. On top of that all, we have André Hernandes  (Andre Matos band) playing tasty additional lead guitar.

It’s quite clear already, that the year 2020 has not been a great one, we all know that. That’s why we believe a song about hope and not giving up is exactly what we all need to hear.“

Odium Records proudly announces that 12 years after the last album, the cult Polish HELL-BORN returns with a new one. The band was started in 1996 by Behemoth co-founder Baal and Les , also a former Behemoth musician as well as a member of Damnation . There are IX songs on ” Natas Liah ” – old school, black death metal with a bit of melodies typical for the group. There were also some guests during the recording session, including Adam Nergal Darski. The band confirms that it is by far the best album in their career.

RELEASE DATE: 26 JANUARY 2021

Recordings took place at Creme de la Creme studio, and Haldor Grunberg, known for his collaboration with Behemoth, handled the mixes and mastering. The album will be released by Odium Records by the end of the year as digipack CD and vinyl.

Shadow describes the music of Kriegsgott as Hateful Black Metal in opposition to the modern scene.

Shadow explains the controversial cover art for the album: “We live in a crazy time and just in case if somebody may thinks that Kriegsgott is an NS band or something because it’s a German name and on the cover are some dead bodies, maybe Jews from the concentration camp or something? I inform that Kriegsgott has nothing to do with that. Kriegsgott plays hateful black metal, the main topics of the lyrics are hate, war etc. I took the photo on the cover in the museum in Oslo/Norway and on the cover are dead Norwegian boys who died because of great hunger after World War II . ” – Best Regards Shadow

In the days before lock-down and plague, HUMAN was formed by the dark minds of Gallus and Gritz during the ice-cold winter frosts of 2019, creating a unique blend of Blackened Death. With a grand history of witch burning and riders in black, their small town of Belper, Derbyshire, UK had now been covered in a new shadow of darkness.

With 2020 well underway, the duo began crafting a catalogue of malevolent sounds, later inviting Gorgrom to join the ranks on vocals – adding the venom of torturous screams, devilish roars together with ritualistic doom singing and blending it into an ode to infernal chaos.Now as we face the end to this plague-stricken year of self-isolation HUMAN have a taste of their metal to unleash onto the world. The premiere of their track “Unto Múspellsheimr” – a song which details the infernal war of Múspellsheimr, an Old Norse realm of fire and chaos on the heavens – was Released via Recharger Records on all digital platforms on Friday, December 11th 2020.

For fans of Haunt, Eternal Champion, Night Demon

Hell Riders were born to Riccardo Marcassa (Guitarist) and Gio Prestinari (Drummer). Both are at the same time old members of the historic band Porlezza known as Beyond Death Of Humanity thrash metal. The band lasted until 2014.

We have to wait until October 2017 before the two meet again and decide to form a new band proposing their old songs of the past in a heavy key. In January 2018, the band lined up among its lines Davide Girardi as vocalist, taken from Ticino, while in May of the same year, is completed with Ismael Meireles on bass, also from Ticino.

In May the band decided to record some rudimentary tracks releasing the Demo: Origins. In November of the same year the band changed again the lines adding to the drums Cesare Massaini, Caterina La Chimia on bass and Luca Manta as second guitar. On December 1, Hell Riders signed with Volcano Records and entered the studio to record their first album on December 17, 2018.

The recordings end on 24 May 2019 with a new drummer, Angelo Cislaghi, while in September of the same year, a new member arrives, the young Enea Maina to replace Luca Manta. On November 1, 2019, the band’s debut album titled “First Race” was released. The race of the infernal motorcyclists does not stop and now I am working on the second disk deploying new members: Bobo on drums and Luca Piscopo on bass.
