JINJER Announces To Play Select Shows In September

Your favorite heavy hitting Ukrainian modern metal juggernatus JINJER recently streamed their ferocious sold out Melbourne, Australia performance – originally filmed on March 5, 2020 – exclusively at www.knotfest.com. The show had never been released in its entirety and was one of JINJER‘s last performances before the global Covid-19 lock down.

Today, coinciding with the recent fourth anniversary of their ground breaking Napalm Records debut, King Of Everything, the band announces a handful of select shows in Germany and Switzerland taking place in less than two months from now.

Commented the band: “As a band we have always pushed 100% to get our music out to you and we feel like this is a chance to get back to some sort of normality this year … it’s end of Summer and right before the Fall, with many successful shows played in both countries the last few months. If there is any way to safely perform again  – for us and for you – WE MUST TAKE THE CHANCE! Tickets are very limited and all shows will follow  local governmental Safety and Social Distancing guidelines … See you very soon!”

JINJER live 2020
17.09.20 DE – Munich / Backstage Werk
18.09.20 CH – Aarburg / Musigburg
19.09.20 CH – Wetzikon / Hall Of Fame
21.09.20 DE – Mönchengladbach / Strandkorb Open Air

Devastating riffs, aggressive vocals, powerful melodies and astonishingly deep lyrics are what make their new album, MacroJINJER’s most advanced and undeniable album yet – taking the listener on a journey of trauma, power struggle and greed with a progressive groove metal backdrop.

In under 10 years, the four-piece progressive groove metal wrecking machine known as JINJER have carved their very own place in the heavy metal landscape and are poised to go even further in 2019 and beyond. Hailing from Donetsk, this Ukrainian musical oddity formed in 2009, but consider the official start of the band with the addition of the incredible vocalist and femme fatale, Tatiana Shmayluk, in 2010. Since then, JINJER have been nominated and won the Best Ukrainian Metal Act award for Best Ukrainian Metal Band multiple times.

JINJER have built upon the successes of their previously released Micro EP with their latest full-length, Macro – boasting impressive worldwide chart debuts, remarkable critical acclaim, and millions of track streams and YouTube views – all the while selling out the vast majority of their international live performances in support. With MacroJINJER have truly arrived in metal stardom territory and are on the verge of conquering it.

Kekal

For fans of Iapetus, MASTER BOOT RECORD and Ulcerate

From the depths of Jakarta — Indonesia’s urban maze, Kekal shares a premiere of their new album “Quantum Resolution”: a 56-minute radical sonic odyssey of spacetime-bending experimental/avant-garde metal. Available in digital download, streaming, and CD formats.

Released to coincide with Kekal’s 25th anniversary, “Quantum Resolution” is the band’s 12th full-length album, and also the 2nd concept album after 2007’s “The Habit of Fire”, with all the songs relate themselves to the main/central theme. Thematically, the album is based on the spiritual insight, or Gnosis: The revelation about knowing who we really are as a species and as Humanity and where we are going. The lyrics dig with our dark history from a distant past, and also dig into our present time and future as well: what is our role here on Earth, and how do we deal with all the deceptions that are so rampant and very structural encompassing every aspect of life, as we are closing the chapter of our present age. The music accompanies every song’s temperament and general mood led by the lyrics. Stylistically, the album follows Kekal’s faithful tradition by utilizing avant-garde and alternative approaches to various expressions of rock, metal and electronic music.

Kekal was formed in 1995 in Jakarta, Indonesia. According to AllMusic, Kekal was one of the first heavy metal bands from Indonesia to make international inroads, and according to sociologist of heavy metal, Keith Kahn-Harris, was one of the few extreme metal bands from Southeast Asia to ever make more than a minimal impression on the global scene. Kekal is known as the first band from Indonesia who toured Europe back in 2004, and since 2009 has become a band without official members, with former members and other musicians voluntarily contributing together in collaboration to make new albums up to this date. Most of the band’s music are now released to public through Creative Commons license, and 4 albums are also available for free download through Bandcamp including the critically-acclaimed “1000 Thoughts of Violence” (2003) and “The Habit of Fire” (2007).

CHASTAIN “FOR THOSE WHO DARE” 30TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION CD COMING AUGUST 14TH VIA DIVEBOMB RECORDS

David T. Chastain has gained a reputation over the last 35+ years as a powerful, progressive guitarist whose music has been centered around his melodic and technically fluent fretboard mastery. Besides David’s virtuoso style, the other major attribute to CHASTAIN’s instantly distinct sound is vocalist Leather Leone’s superior and ultimately commanding presence.

Originally released in 1990 on Roadrunner Records, CHASTAIN’s fifth album, For Those Who Dare, was yet further proof that David T. Chastain was not just a great player, but also a talented songwriter and band leader with an exceptional group of collaborators to help make his visions a reality. That being said, the album had been remixed by the label without the group’s involvement, resulting in an overly dry, unpolished sound. To date, the original band-approved mix has never been granted an official CD release.

That all changes now, as Divebomb Records is excited to present the 30th Anniversary edition of For Those Who Dare, adhering to CHASTAIN’s original intent by restoring Steve Fontano’s (Prairie Sun Studios) more balanced mix—as well as additional background vocals, ad libs, and “ear candy” that have long been missing from the Roadrunner release. As usual, the disc has also been remastered by Jamie King Audio, and will be packaged alongside a detailed booklet—revised and expanded from Divebomb’s initial 2010 reissue to include additional photographs and a retrospective interview with David T. Chastain and Leather Leone. For the fans, by the fans!

1. For Those Who Dare
2. Night Of Anger
3. I Am The Rain
