REVOCATION Unleashes “Dystopian Vermin” Video

REVOCATION is pleased to unleash a video for “Dystopian Vermin,” the latest single from their savage new full-length New Gods, New Masters. The video comes on the eve of the record’s official release on Friday, September 26th via Metal Blade Records.

On New Gods, New Masters, REVOCATION conjures nine potent and portentous songs of brutal lyrical and musical significance. Elaborates founding vocalist/guitarist Dave Davidson on “Dystopian Vermin.” “This one’s for the headbangers. It’s got a lot of driving momentum that morphs into some of the heaviest parts on the whole album. The video for this track was once again filmed by the MyGoodEye team who did an excellent job as always. I think they really captured the energy of this song and the location/set that they came up with perfectly fit the mood. I can’t wait to play this song live on our upcoming tour, I think it’s sure to get the circle pit churning.”

“‘Cronenberged’ mashes out swanky, slappy bass rhythms, virulent velocity, and wrist-grinding triplet chugging, while vocalist-guitarist Dave Davidson also injects some seriously shreddy guitar moments.” – Revolver on “Cronenberged”

“This feels a little less technical than its predecessors and more concentrated on the power of writing a good riff and a great groove. Longtime REVOCATION fans are sure to find something to love here, but new fans are certainly going to find a solid entry point into the band’s extensive discography here as well.” – Metal Injection

“…the most energetic and fun the band has sounded since 2014’s Deathless… Davidson resembles a Chuck Schuldiner of the Pro Tools era: a charismatic shredder and keen observer of the world around him with a strong point of view…” — Decibel Magazine

“…a truly epic treat for all progressive aficionados who appreciate it heavy and challenging…World class!” – Rock Hard

“…an album that challenges, rewards, and leaves a lasting impact…” – Metal Hammer

“REVOCATION once again prove themselves to be exemplary students, setting standards in tech death metal.” – Fuze

“…a sonically devastating statement that both continues and amplifies some of the nihilistic themes explored on Netherheaven, offering a prescient commentary on technology and humanity.” – The Moshville Times

“…a sublime performance that engrosses the listener wholly and leaves no moment for hope, salvation, nor mercy as we traverse this unforgivingly dark world.” – Headbanger Reviews

SKULL & CROSSBONES confront human decay with powerful new single & video “Labyrinth Of Time”

German heavy power metal force SKULL & CROSSBONES are set to return this autumn with their new studio album “Time”, to be released on November 14, 2025 via Massacre Records. The follow-up to their debut marks a strong step forward in both songwriting and production, delivering powerful, melodic, and timeless heavy metal that blends energy with emotion.

After the soaring first single “Echoes Of Eternity”, the band now unleash their brand-new single and video “Labyrinth Of Time”. Musically dark and dramatic, the track is accompanied by a poignant statement from the band, describing it as a reflection on “human decay due to dementia”. Heavy riffs and haunting melodies create a song that is both tragic and cathartic, capturing the inevitability of decline through a deeply emotional lens.

WATCH THE VIDEO HERE:

“Time” was produced by SKULL & CROSSBONES together with Marc Ayerle, who also handled mixing and mastering at KlangMAnufaktur. Cover artwork was created by Michael Vetter, while additional keyboard arrangements on “Thunderstorm” and “The Ocean’s Call” were provided by vocalist Tobias Hübner.

The record is a journey through powerful riffs, anthemic choruses, and lyrical depth – ranging from the mystical (“Eye Of Wisdom”) and the dramatic (“The Price”) to the thunderous and uplifting (“Thunderstorm”) and even playful, with the pirate-inspired closer (“The Ocean’s Call”).

With “Time”SKULL & CROSSBONES deliver their most mature and focused work to date. Lyrically, the album reflects on the fleeting nature of existence – from stolen hours (“Time Thief”) and human decay (“Labyrinth Of Time”) to rebirth and transcendence (“Eye Of Wisdom”). Musically, the band balance classic heavy/power metal with a modern edge, crafting songs which are as anthemic as they are thought-provoking.

This is not just an album – it’s a journey through past, present, and future, bound together by the unrelenting power of heavy metal.

Styrian Death Metal Newcomers GRIMMING Sign With Napalm Records!

From mountainous Styria hail death metal newcomers GRIMMING, who have just signed their first record deal with Napalm Records! One viral song with outstanding numbers for a debut was all it took for the young Austrian band to pique the heavy hitting label’s interest. With dialect, traditional attire and strong stories from their home region, this rising band – whose youngest member is just 15 years old – knows exactly where they’re going!

In celebration of this new chapter, GRIMMING have released a new single, “Wüdschitz” (an Austrian dialect word for poacher). Perfectly showcasing their strength in storytelling, hauntingly cold death metal accentuates the tragic tale of a man forced into poaching due to famine. Roaring riffs and full-dialect vocals make obstructive hunting laws and the fight for survival against winter’s grasp palpable – until the bitter end.

GRIMMING about “Wüdschitz”:
“‘Wüdschitz’ describes the true story of alpine poaching and the unfair distribution of game laws in earlier times. It is a middle finger to authority and oppression, and no romantic hunter’s tale, but rather the brutal survival story of the foot soldiers who rose up against hunger, laws, and large landowners. Where guns blasted, blood flowed, and the forest became a battlefield, ‘Wüdschitz’ begins.”

Napalm Records Senior A&R Sebastian Muench about the signing:
“The death metal band GRIMMING from Upper Styria perfectly symbolizes the impressive, rugged and mysterious mountains, the lonely green forests and cold, clear lakes of the Ennstal region. GRIMMING combine sophisticated death metal with ancient traditions, stories, and legends. Welcome to the Napalm Records family!”

GRIMMING took their first steps into the scene with “Lindwurm” in the spring of 2025. The track and its video, filmed in a compelling alpine landscape, quickly gained traction – GRIMMING amassed 100k views and counting on their debut reel. They quickly followed up with their live debut and are now set to bring the heavy stories of their mountain home to metal fans worldwide.
