SUDDEN DEATH: Italian death metallers sign to Time To Kill Records

Italian death metallers SUDDEN DEATH have signed to Time To Kill Records for the release of their fourth album, “In Sinner Hate”.
Their most blisteringly furious, ambitious, and eclectic record to date, “In Sinner Hate” delivers eleven tracks of brutal death metal mixed with elements of old-school heaviness.
The album was mixed and mastered by Stefano “Saul” Morabito (Fleshgod Apocalypse, Hour Of Penance, Hideous Divinity), with additional recordings by Marco “Cinghio” Mastrobuono (Hour Of Penance, Shores Of Null) and Giuseppe Orlando (Novembre, Stormlord).
Watch for more details on the new album release, new tour updates, and more news on other upcoming SUDDEN DEATH activities to be posted shortly.
Formed in 1997, SUDDEN DEATH are a death metal band hailing from Genzano (Rome). The band’s sound, initially inspired by the rawest old school death-thrash metal waves, slowly and progressively developed into a more brutal style, influenced by Cannibal Corpse and early Deicide. Nowadays the band set forth on a masterclass in technical and claustrophobic death metal with dense and intertwining guitars, sudden tempo and metric changes and more consistent and exasperated vocal parts.
So far the band has released three albums – “Devoured Inside” (self-produced) in 2001, “Injection of Hate” (Deadbang Records) in 2004, and “Monolith of Sorrow” (Killerpool Records) in 2015 – and the EP “Stillborn” (Art Gates Records) in 2018.
SUDDEN DEATH have played several shows throughout the Italian peninsula and around Europe, sharing the stage with important acts such as Suffocation, Gorgoroth, Vader, Napalm Death, Exodus, Dark Tranquility, Possessed, Pestilence and many others.

Aeon Empire Releases Second Single “Sitting On A Wall”

Rock band Aeon Empire are back with their second single, Sitting on a Wall.

Their debut single, All Your Dreams, came out just a month ago and is already closing in on 200K plays on YouTube, showing that people are paying attention. Now, with Sitting on a Wall, Aeon Empire keep that momentum going, delivering another track that’s ready to be heard.

Dive into the timeless sound of Sitting on a Wall, the new track from rock band Aeon Empire.

With its infectious riff that hooks you from the first note, “Sitting on a Wall” blends classic rock vibes with a modern twist, creating an anthem for those moments where time seems to pause.

This song doesn’t just speak; it sings to the soul about the beauty of the present, the inevitability of change, and the silent promise of tomorrow. With its memorable chorus and thought-provoking lyrics, “Sitting on a Wall” is not just a song; it’s an experience, inviting listeners to join in this moment of reflection and hope.

Perfect for your playlist when you need a reminder to enjoy the now, before it blows away with the wind.

Paul Gerard Reed, who wrote the lyrics, shares:
“I was inspired to write the words by those rare and fleeting moments when a kind of inner peace takes over. For a brief spell, your life and the world seem to be in harmony, and all your loved ones are safe and well. The memory of that moment stays with you forever. I wanted the lyrics and music to transport the listener back to their own precious times when they have experienced those magical feelings.”

Their diverse backgrounds bring a dynamic edge to their music, blending raw rock energy with melodic hooks and international influences. With a clear vision and a passion for delivering powerful music, Aeon Empire is just getting started.

Thrash-Death Metal Force Atrox Trauma Drops Official Music Video for “I Am the Master (Burning Desire)”

The relentless thrash-death metal juggernaut Atrox Trauma is back with their latest visual assault: the official music video for “I Am the Master (Burning Desire),” the third single from their highly anticipated second album Where Death Hunts. Set for release on April 18, 2025, via WormHoleDeath Records, the track is an unapologetic anthem of self-empowerment and defiance.
The band describes the track as a visceral declaration of inner strength, channeling lyrics that serve as a battle cry for the disenfranchised:“I am the Master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul. I am the leader on my way. I am the diamond I keep grinding…”
These words fill me with energy as I say them. They empower me as I shout them into the universe, electrifying me completely. It’s like a mantra. When you listen to the song, say these words to yourself, but they’re even more powerful if you say them out loud. Pay attention to the effect.
“I Am the Master (Burning Desire)” is the third music video from our upcoming album, which will be released on April 18th.
Directed by visual artist András Székely, the video mirrors the song’s ferocity, blending stark, cinematic visuals with the band’s signature chaotic energy.

The single stands out not only for its significance but also for featuring the legendary ‘Metal Queen,’ Doro Pesch, alongside Udo Dirkschneider. This collaboration highlights the album’s unique approach, underlining the long-running inspiration for the whole scene and renowned metal figureheads and companions alike.

Udo comments: “It was a very special experience for me to re-record “Winter Dreams’” with Doro Pesch. Doro and I have spent so many years together in the scene and there is a deep, almost familial connection between us. Her voice gives this song an incredible magic and emotionality that takes it to a whole new level. It was like a reunion with an old friend for me and together we made ‘Winter Dreams’ even more intense and personal. It just feels right to share this moment together!”

“ ‘Balls To The Wall’ has always been one of my absolute favourite albums. I was really happy to sing the wonderful ‘Winter Dreams’ as a duet with Udo Dirkschneider and to shoot a great video for it. We have a long friendship and it is always special to work with him,” Doro adds.

“Re-recording ‘Balls To The Wall’ was a big challenge for me. The album is a milestone of my career, of course, thats why it was even more important to me to make the original songs shine in a new light without losing their initial essence. All guests have put their individual stamps on these classic tracks, and collaborating with such outstanding vocalists has moved them into a fresh and exciting dimension. The result is a powerful homage to all fans but also an invitation to the next generation to experience the songs not minorly passionate than I was when I recorded them back in the day. Its a never-ending personal journey for me – “Balls To The Wall” will always be a part of me,” states Udo.

Godless – A Force of Relentless Death Metal

Emerging from the heart of India’s thriving yet unorthodox metal scene, Godless has steadily climbed to the pinnacle of the country’s death metal scene. But it’s not their experimental innovations that have set them apart—rather, it’s their unapologetic dedication to pure, high-octane, thrash-infused death metal. With their ferocious energy and no-holds-barred approach, they’ve become a standout force in the global extreme metal landscape.

Formed in mid-2015 in Hyderabad, Godless was founded by a group of seasoned musicians who had already made their mark on the Indian metal scene. Though their name might suggest a nihilistic, uncompromising spirit, it’s the band’s raw and unrelenting sound that truly defines them. From their very inception, Godless has drawn upon the rich heritage of old-school metal while constantly evolving their sound—often delving into thrash, death, and beyond.

The band made their debut with Centuries of Decadence, a blistering four-track EP released in May 2016 through Transcending Obscurity Records. Mixed and mastered by Joe Haley of Psycroptic, the EP was met with widespread acclaim, securing features in Rolling Stone India, Terrorizer, XXL Rock, No Clean Singing, Metal Wani, Brave Words, and Dead Rhetoric. The release quickly cemented Godless as a rising force in the Indian death metal scene.

In 2017, the band had the honor of supporting iconic acts like Psycroptic and Jeff Loomis on their Indian tours, gaining invaluable exposure and growing their fanbase. Fuelled by this momentum, they returned to the studio in early 2018 to record Swarm, a vicious death-thrash EP that featured a guest appearance by former Obscura guitarist Tom “Fountainhead” Geldschlager. The EP was recorded and mixed at Poland’s legendary Hertz Studio, known for its work with giants like Vader, Behemoth, and Decapitated.

In 2018, Godless triumphed in the Metal Battle India competition, earning them a coveted spot to perform at Wacken Open Air—one of the world’s largest metal festivals. This international debut marked the band’s first major milestone on the global stage. Following a packed 2019 that included a successful India tour, a four-week European tour, and a memorable Nepal tour, the band set their sights on even greater achievements.

In November 2021, Godless unleashed their highly anticipated debut LP, States of Chaos. Mixed and mastered once again at Hertz Studio, the album delivers eight ferocious tracks of relentless thrash and death metal. States of Chaos quickly garnered praise from fans and critics alike, landing the band at the top of Bandcamp’s global charts for both thrash (#1) and death metal (#3). The album earned widespread acclaim from outlets such as Unite Asia, Metal Injection, and Invisible Oranges, and was featured by Rolling Stone India as one of the top 10 Indian albums of 2021. States of Chaoswas also nominated for “Album of the Year” by Metal Injection, and recognized by Bandcamp as one of the best metal releases of November 2021.

Now, with a lineup consisting of Abbas Razvi (bass), Nikhil Rajkumar (drums), Moiz Mustafa (guitar), and Nangsan Lyngwa (vocals), Godless is already deep into the creation of their next record. The band has an upcoming India tour in 2025, followed by a return to Europe in April and May for more intense live performances that are sure to continue their ascent.

In a genre where innovation is often as prized as tradition, Godless stands out by staying true to the roots of death metal, while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of their sound. The chaos is only just beginning.

THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE Joins Metal Blade Records Roster

Metal Blade Records is pleased to welcome Pennsylvania deathcore behemoths THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE to its esteemed roster.

THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE was forged in 2010. Within a year, they were touring regularly and had self-released their debut album, Know Your Exits. By 2013, independent metal label Density Records unleashed their second album, Invivo [Exvivo]. Further touring ensued with the likes of I Declare War, Fit For An Autopsy, Thy Art Is Murder, and Kublai Khan. The prolific act would go on to release five more full-lengths, each earning Billboard chart placements and reaping critical accolades both stateside and abroad. Of the band‘s most recent output, 2024‘s No Name Graves (Unique Leader Records), Knotfest wrote, “THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE are reasserting their position as innovators and leaders in the deathcore genre. Their approach to music is not just about creating sound but about crafting an experience that challenges and captivates their audience.” New Transcendence concurred, “With moments defined by a low, moody atmosphere carefully peppered with punishing aggression and moments that are outright raunchy, ruthless oblivion, No Name Graves is a cinematic, crushing experience that redefines THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE, making it clear that lightning can strike the same place (or same band) twice.” Added No Clean Singing, “At its gnarliest and nastiest – as epitomised by the likes of the brutish, bone-grinding title-track and the apocalyptically heavy ’Broken Glass Incantation‘ – there‘s a there‘s a primal intensity and potent, primitive nihilism to these tracks which recalls the likes of Black Tongue, latter-day Acranius, and even the more post-deathcore leaning approach of Humanity‘s Last Breath, but stripped down even further until only the barest and most unforgiving essentials remain.”

Comments the band on their signing, “We are beyond excited to announce that we have signed with the legendary Metal Blade Records. It is an honor to be on the same roster as such iconic acts past and present. Shout out to Ryan Williams and the rest of the Metal Blade team for giving us the opportunity to riff.”

THE LAST TEN SECONDS OF LIFE have done nearly fifty tours since 2011 and are currently supporting Distant and Enterprise Earthon their EU/UK co-headlining run. The Origin Of Madness Tour commenced last week and includes additional support from Harbinger. See all remaining dates below.

Cryptosis – Launch new single/video “Static Horizon”

Dutch futuristic metallers Cryptosis have announced their return with a mighty, awe-inspiring sophomore album entitled “Celestial Death”, set for worldwide release on March 7th, 2025 via Century Media Records.

To further demonstrate the powerful and versatile material available on “Celestial Death”, a third single entitled “Static Horizon” is being made available today across digital platforms and can also be checked out in a video clip produced by the film production company F/53 (https://f-53.com/) here: https://youtu.be/7QJeq5o7HcU

Cryptosis checked in with the following comment about the track: “‘Static Horizon‘ is the 3rd single from our upcoming album ‘Celestial Death’, out March 7th through Century Media Records. The song combines black metal atmospheres and symphonic elements with fast prog metal guitar picking and melodic doomy grooves. The title represents a feeling of being trapped in a static, unchanging reality, where progress and hope seem distant. With its haunting melodies and intense riffing, the track delivers a powerful mix of raw energy and deep emotion.”The album‘s previous singles can also still be seen here:
“Faceless Matter”: https://youtu.be/cydvu7ScAmg
“Reign Of Infinite”: https://youtu.be/cq_9cXEr4b4

“Celestial Death” was recorded by Olaf Skoreng at Tom Meier and Studio Moon Music between April and August 2024, mixed by Fredrik Folkare at Chrome Studios (Unleashed, Necrophobic, Hellbutcher) in Sweden and finally mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Studios (Arch Enemy, Borknagar, Amorphis) in Sweden too. The album is the follow-up to Cryptosis‘ acclaimed “Bionic Swarm” debut album (2021) and the EP “The Silent Call” (2023), it once more comes with artwork by Eliran Kantor (Kreator, Testament, My Dying Bride) and also showcases the group on a darker, heavier, more melodic and extremely cinematic journey across its 11 tracks / 42 minutes of playing time with the following track-listing:

JET JAGUAR signs with Steamhammer/SPV

Aficionados consider Jet Jaguar to be one of Mexico‘s hottest contemporary metal acts, ready to take Europe and the rest of the world by storm: Following their furioso performance at the 2024 Wacken Open Air and their acclaimed European tour alongside Anvil, the four-piece have recently enlisted with Hanover-based imprint Steamhammer/SPV. Their latest album ’Severance‘ has been scheduled for release in autumn 2025.

Even before the arrival of their 2020 debut album ’Endless Nights‘, Jet Jaguar had performed countless concerts and lots of important festival appearances. In 2017, the band played the W:O:A for the first time, emerging as winners of the Metal Battle, and easily substantiated that brilliant impression seven years later both at the same venue and during Anvil‘s 2024 European tour. For lead guitarist Ariyuki Arce, these shows were “one of the best experiences Jet Jaguar have ever had. Sharing the stage with metal legends is always a huge honour.”

Drummer/band founder Jimmy Lozano on the upcoming album and the band‘s contract with SPV/Steamhammer: “’Severance‘ is the culmination of years of work. During the pandemic, everyone was going through some dark and somewhat depressing times, so we ended up with heavier and more aggressive songs than on our previous album. For us, signing with SPV/Steamhammer is an incredible milestone. Having the honour of partnering with one of the biggest and longest-running labels in Germany motivates us to work even harder for our extremely supportive fans. We can‘t wait to get started on this amazing collaboration!”

Label manager Olly Hahn is also looking forward to the upcoming collaboration: “When I saw the band supporting Anvil in Hannover last year, I definitely had to sign them. The club was small and sticky but the band played as if there were 1,000 people in the room. This is what heavy metal is all about and Jet Jaguar are like a breath of fresh air in this genre!”
