Italian all-female metal band HELLFOX have unveiled the brand new official video for “Water On The Ceiling”, one of the standout tracks from their latest album “The Spectrum Of Human Gravity“, released last June 6th, 2025 via Rockshots Records.

A song born from the suffocating sensation of insomnia, “Water On The Ceiling” captures the eerie stillness of endless nights when eyes remain wide open as reality blurs into a waking dream. The track blends haunting melodies, distorted synths and Hellfox’s trademark dual female vocals to convey the claustrophobic feeling of staring at a ceiling that turns into water—suffocating, oppressive and inescapable.

The video adds a new visual dimension to the song’s atmosphere, portraying the emotional weight of sleeplessness and the surreal imagery that inspired the lyrics. It represents yet another chapter in the band’s journey of exploring the depths of human emotion through music and imagery.

“The Spectrum Of Human Gravity” has already gained recognition for its unique fusion of Nordic melodic death metal roots, pop-inspired clean vocals, and modern electronic textures. HELLFOX is an ALL FEMALE alternative metal (alt-metal) band with melodic death tendencies. Despite the four completely different musical backgrounds, we share a common inspiration to Amorphis, In Flames, Dark Tranquillity as far as composition is concerned, while for the choice of sounds we intended to move away from the Symphonic, recognizably feminine scenario to include acid and distorted synths so that we could create modern atmospheres that more closely met our tastes and better married the pop timbre of the melodic vocals. The dualism of HELLFOX is not meant to be understood on a conflicting level, it is instead the result of different voices within the human soul, different faces if you will, that mingle and generate the person itself, in its entirety, that although they seem to struggle, they coexist and create harmony and balance. We don’t use masks to conform to a mass, nor do we want to stand out at all costs, we just want to be ourselves in a society where normality is only a surface, the abyss instead is made up of so many facets of personality, both for the group and especially for the individual human being. Ours is a message within everyone’s reach, in which one can recognize oneself: that little voice in the head that either draws you in or drives you away… Because for us, nothing is normal, nothing is different.

“This is me trying to be deep, my emotional reflections and my personal struggle, the search for some kind of meaning, the ongoing identity battle and existential doubt”, singer Zak Tell reveals about the new single. “It’s about trying to make sense of the world and my place in it. It’s about going through changes, looking at yourself and trying to figure out what the point of everything is. We all go through good and bad experiences and they shape us and help us move on. Life in general is a stupid fucking game so it’s interesting how much time we waste worrying about what other people think and about things we can’t change regardless. There is no such thing as making everyone happy so focus on trying to make yourself happy and the rest will come to you.”

Loud, furious, darkly humorous and brutally honest, CLAWFINGER’s Before We All Die is everything you forgot you needed – and exactly what you’d expect from a band that never cared much for subtlety.

“This isn’t about finding peace,” Zak says. “It’s about telling the truth – even when it’s ugly. Especially then.”

From environmental collapse to political hypocrisy, personal disillusionment to collective denial, this is CLAWFINGER at full volume – still pissed off, still sharp as ever, and still refusing to shut up while the world pretends it’s all fine.

“This album is part protest, part therapy, and part middle finger,” the band adds. “We’re not offering solutions. We’re screaming because silence is surrender.”

CLAWFINGER are considered pioneers of European rap-metal. Formed in Stockholm in the early 1990s, the Swedish-Norwegian band made an explosive debut with Deaf Dumb Blind [1993], blending aggressive guitar riffs with politically charged lyrics and rap vocals. The album sold over 600,000 copies worldwide – more than 250,000 in Germany alone – and won a Swedish Grammis award in the hardrock/metal category.

CLAWFINGER’s follow-up Use Your Brain [1995] continued their success with chart placements across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Sweden. Over the years, they released seven studio albums including A Whole Lot Of Nothing, Zeros & Heroes, Hate Yourself With Style, and Life Will Kill You, selling over 1.5 million records worldwide.

Known for their direct, riff-driven sound and strong political stance, CLAWFINGER address topics such as racism, political delusion, drug policy, environmental destruction, and social inequality. In the 1990s, they toured intensively with acts like ALICE IN CHAINS, MEGADETH and FAITH NO MORE and appeared at major festivals including Rock am Ring, Roskilde, and Monsters of Rock in South America.

After a brief hiatus, the band returned in 2014 and has since released new singles like “Save Our Souls” [2017] and “Environmental Patients” [2022]. In 2025, CLAWFINGER signed a new label deal with PERCEPTION, with more music on the way – still as loud, sharp, and uncompromising as ever.

Their last album Fresh Metal unexpectedly entered the Official German Album Charts (#67) – a milestone that energized the band. But instead of softening their sound, the German band took it as a challenge to push even harder. Mosh O’Clock is their heaviest, fastest, and most aggressive record yet — still packed with the humor and attitude that makes them unique.
 
Though it’s not a concept album, there’s a clear theme running through it: living without limits, standing up against injustice, and embracing chaos and community. From sharp calls against fascism to wild celebrations of friendship, the lyrics hit hard and true.
 
The band wrote over 20 songs for this album. At a special demo listening event, the fans chose which 13 songs would be on the final record. During the event, fans even joined in the studio to record choir vocals for the title track.
 
The songwriting is tighter, the riffs more brutal, and the production crisp and powerful. It’s not overproduced — Mosh O’Clock keeps a raw edge and harshness, but remains extremely tight and clear. Set to unleash their sophomore album “Melancholia” on September 19, 2025, to follow their 2020 breakout debut “The Veil”, Halifax, Canada’s progressive death metal titans Ancient Thrones are sharing their second single and title track, accompanied by a new music video.

At 260 beats per minute, Ancient Thrones introduce the protagonist of their concept record, his condition, and how he describes feeling out of place, plunging listeners headfirst into his psyche.

“With unrelenting intensity from the opening second, the title track Melancholia is simply a demonstration of what we set out to do with this album. Not one instrument stands out more than the other on this track, as it storms through a plethora of chaotic riffs, rapid blast beats, and lightning-quick vocals at 260 beats per minute, before reaching a breaking point where we flip the script to welcome change both musically and lyrically. With “Melancholia”, the band introduces a 42-minute descent into existential exhaustion, delivering an unapologetic extreme metal concept album that fuses blistering speed, cinematic storytelling, and emotional brutality.

From the chaotic opener “A Moon Fused Key” to the doom-laden closer “Vacant,” the band exposes raw intensity and jagged vulnerability. The narrative follows a colorblind protagonist navigating hallucinogenic visions in search of meaning, an unsettling journey through idealism, dread, and transformation. “For this album, a big focus for us was on the production. We meticulously, painstakingly spent several hours dialing every tone, note, layer, vocal, etc. We were fortunate to have time and a slower world on our side during production. Everything on this album was thought out and brought to life in a fully fleshed-out way. It took us 5 years to make this album, with 1 of those years used just levelling up our musicianship and techniques in order to play the material. We’re faster, more technical, and have a singular focus to make sure this album was beating you down from head to toe,” says Leblanc.

With their fourth full-length album, “The World That Never Was,” set to drop on August 21st, 2025, Baltimore-based trio NIGHT’S EDGE is unveiling one last visual offering ahead of release day. In collaboration with Ghost Cult Magazine, the band premieres the music video for “Shapes in Grey Space II: Soaring”, the second installment in a three-part suite that closes the album. The two-and-a-half-minute ballad of symphonic alternative metal track unfolds a Twilight Zone-inspired narrative, exploring themes of isolation and the transformative journey of self-discovery it can spark.

“Soaring is a hardcore banger in ¾, as fancy as it is intense. The sudden pauses and shifts in direction of the music catch you off guard, while the vocals make you feel like you are ascending into the chorus, with mixed feelings of freedom while remaining tethered to reality. The words reflect our inner turmoil of free will versus the outside forces that control us. When writing Soaring, Damian constantly referred to the movie “Chronicle,” a found-footage thriller about teenagers who get superpowers. Since forming in 2018, Night’s Edge has undergone several lineup shifts and sonic evolutions, making notable strides since their 2019 debut. Rooted in the Alternative Metal realm yet defying easy classification, their sound blends gothic metal, progressive rock, and nu-metal influences into a heady mix of heaviness and pop sensibility, wrapped in layers of synths and theatrical flair. Their upcoming album, “The World That Never Was,” delves into themes of lost identity and the voids we fall into—obsession, rage, and uncertainty. In its closing arc, the album tells a parable: the protagonist wakes in a world where humanity has vanished and is forced to confront their reflection in the silence… or so it appears.

“We are immensely proud of this album. The World That Never Was has the strongest songwriting that Night’s Edge has ever brought forward, and these powerful songs elevate the three of us as musicians and as a band.
